Redux: MOD NOTE: threads like this are dumb, and a complete waste of our time to moderate, because people have a hard time understanding what "No Discussion" means. So, I tell you what - i‘ll keep the thread open, but infract anyone who posts anything that isn’t a rumour.

Rumours look like this:
Crows will take Elijah Hollands with first pick.
(same norwood based source who said Stephens would go top 5 when most "experts" had him outside top 10).

Specifically, they reference a future event that *may* happen, and usually end up being laughably false.

A couple of quotes from other threads

We have been linked to Oscar McDonald.
We’re not getting Caldwell. If Bombers and Giants can’t do a deal he’ll just stay with the Giants for another year then try again next year.

Sam Jacobs is returning to the club in a ruck coaching capacity.

Another former player will return in a coaching capacity, and it's not Sauce.

Doesn't look anything like Jacobs.
You can just say its Scott Thompson, since there's an article in the paper about it

The Crows are poised to announce former club great Scott Thompson will return to West Lakes to take on a coaching role with their premiership-winning AFLW side.
However, it’s not yet clear whether two-time Norm Smith Medallist Andrew McLeod will return to the coaching staff.

The Advertiser understands Adelaide has sounded out two-time Club Champion Thompson for a role in the women’s coaching ranks, working under head coach Matthew Clarke and alongside current assistant coaches Narelle Smith and Peter Caven.

Sources with direct knowledge of negotiations believe Hately’s deal won’t get done until Caldwell’s is ratified.

GWS does not want to be seen as allowing pick 40 for Hately, who has played 13 senior games, but pushing for a first rounder on Caldwell, who has notched 11 AFL matches.

Got told this at work -it kinda makes sense but take with grain of salt

Collingwood were over salary cap and AFL told them to fix it and shut the * up about it - hence Treloar and Stephenson trades

Also there was no "mixed doubles" match with Buckley, Sanderson, Alicia Molik and a never named 4th person in Perth that broke hub rules, Buckley was just doing the dirty and Sando put himself up to cover for him

Guessing this won't happen now and might be why we ended up re-signing Mackay, but Nicks had some talks with Heath Shaw about coming over in that Luke Hodge type player/coach role.

The AFL look set to revert to 20-minute quarters in 2021 as they continue to reposition key elements of the game disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.

After deciding to play 16-minute quarters during 2020 to help them complete the COVID-19 affected season, the AFL has been weighing up whether to revert to the same length of quarters that existed pre-COVID-19 or find a middle ground and change the length of quarters to 18 minutes.

The Age reporting we are after Brisbane defender Mitch Hinge. He's out of contract and could get to us via PSD or DFA (although he hasn't been delisted yet)

190cm defender from SA, played 3 games in 4 years, taken pick 20 in the 2017 rookie draft

FWIW Rooch suggesting on SEN that both Adelaide not happy with ongoing license fee and conditions upon SANFL team and that we may be considering entering East Coast/VFL league in 2022. Port also not happy, but more to do with requirement of players to be 2 years out of AFL before being signed as a "marquee" player.
