From the games I've watched, they've got some of the best delivery inside 50 in the competition and Voss" biggest strength is on the lead.

Off the field the culture at Fremantle and Dodo era Essendon could not be more different, especially with training standards and professionalism.

Coupled with the fact that he would have been scared straight about almost ruining his chance at an AFL career, and it's the perfect storm of yet another young player leaving Essendon and going on to do much better things elsewhere.

All jokes aside, all the other departures haven't been because we've underestimated them. It's because they've seen us for what we are - a complete shit show. Examples of this include Daniher, Saad, and anybody who left as a result of the Saga.

Nobody. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good whinge.

Other players that people thought we were dumb to delist include Josh Eyre, Shaun McKernan and Shaun Edwards. There are plenty of others in sure but you don't see anyone whinging about those ones.

I know we're taking strides to fix it, but the scars from those years still remain both metaphorically and in the form of list cloggers. The Mass one stings in particular because we have a mutual friend and I've heard that we handled the negotiations even worse than what the media has reported.

Maybe Voss never amounts to nothing if he stays, yet in a season's worth of games has shown more than Harry Jones has his whole career, who we somehow thought was worthy of a two-year contract.

The delivery point is a fair one though. Fteo have some excellent kicks. Young, Serong, Bolton. Voss is strong and has a quick burst of speed. It would make iy easier for him to perform than our shitshow.
I think it's reasonable to feel bitter though, although I don't.

So we started our rebuild of the list by moving on/not prioritising 2 second year players who were:

1. the best kick on the list and who has proven to be one of the best kicks in the game: and

2. arguably the most physically gifted and certainly the most physical/aggressive player on the list who could always clearly play the game?

Both have gone on to feature heavily in 2 teams that are much better than Esssndon.

What about the contracts that followed? Why are did we then decide that we were out of the FA market? We started the rebuild when Rosa and Vozzo convinced the board it needed to happen in the latter part of 2024.

It really doesn't matter what people will now say to make themselves look good. What they do is more important and what they did until late 2024 was not a rebuild. It's not even clear that that started the rebuild mentality until after the latest pre-season was almost completed in February 2025.

Eh, it doesn’t read as a leak, it reads as conditioning the media and the supporter base. It seems like we know what the outcome we want is already and decisions have been made.

TBD on whether they are correct or not.

I’d also like to revise my previous delisting as well, Laverde would be on my cut list too. And I’d also look at whether Cox can go to the inactive list to get himself right and offer another list spot.
