This thread looks like nonsense now. The last 8 weeks is a more than large enough sample size to say we have turned the corner.
Keep your Septembers open from 2026 onwards. I'm calling it now. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Professor Clarko & Co. have the playing list percolating very nicely. I think he'll have us simmering in July 2026 & we will come to the boil in Sept '26.
It was only 2 months ago that Jy holding the Premiership Cup aloft was a fantasy. Now it's staring at us smack, bang between the eyes.
I've always said things can turn around pretty quickly. Once again, I've been on the money. Ca Ching.

Feeling ALOT more confidant now after that Carlton performance.
I think not because we won. Rather the manner that we completely and utterly bossed those middle quarters.

Yes, it ended up being uncomfortably close towards the end there but just seeing the look on Clarkos face when it finished, he won't allow that to happen again.

Last 8 weeks have been ALOT better. Beating Carlton, a close loss to Freo when we were the better team, a scrappy win over WCE, a loss to Collingwood (although we were leading at half time), baeting Richmond, a draw against Brisbane!, and a couple of close losses to Essendon and Port.

Should hopefully have brought about some confidence and believe among not only the fans, but the playing group themselves. Let's look at the fixtures ahead

Hawthorn - I don't actually think this is beyond the realms of being winnable. Sure, we are the underdogs here, but Hawthorn aren't in the greatest of form - ladder standing aside.
Dogs - 100 year game. This one has me slightly nervous. Bont, Darcy. Eek.
Melbourne - We've beaten em already this season (yes they weren't great... but we weren't either in the early season)
Sydney and Geelong - These two games will be very testing, and a real measure to how far we've progressed
St Kilda - Can be seen as a winnable game.
GWS - Another solid test
Richmond - Should be a winnable game
and also Adelaide which will be tough.

7 wins an a draw for the seaon isn't out of reach.

If we can keep doubling our wins each year, by 2028 we’ll have already gone through the 2029 season undefeated.
