As a Richmond supporter who can only really remember anything from the last decade, there are plenty of things I am still filthy about, but there aren't really many historical moments that have gone against us I don't think - someone may have something. I guess Geelong beating us by a million points in 2007 as a turning point in their season may be one. I just laugh at that now, even though we haven't even beaten Geelong since, it's just a coping mechanism all Richmond supporters have. E.g the other week I was told we hadn't won a final in the first week since 1980. It's a weird stat, but it's actually sort of funny. Winning two finals in 35 years. Sort of funny.
I'd like to know, however, how Sydney supporters feel now/felt about us beating them by 3pts to make finals in 2014? For us it was simply huge, and almost felt like a turning point in the club's history, but for you it was pretty much a dead rubber, and finished top anyway.
