M.J. Cosgrove c: Copeland b: Abbott 2

S.J. Raphael c: Carters b: Abbott 2

T.M. Head c: Copeland b: Bollinger 7

I am prepared to be patient with Raphael, Head is starting to become a standard SA Batsman but Crosgrove, seriously.

Trav needs to move himself a bit down the order a bit. Might be seen as a soft option but as a young skipper he looks to be struggling mentally as much as form wise.

The problem with a guy of his technique is people will figure you out ala Phil Hughes. Like Phil, he needs to work out other ways.

Thats why I give him more credit, dealing with more - however if this form continues next year then you'd think things will need to change.

50 on debut to Weatherald

South Australia 1st innings R B 4s 6s SR

J Weatherald not out 58 73 5 2 79.45
MJ Cosgrove c Copeland b Abbott 2 29 0 0 6.89
SJ Raphael c †Carters b Abbott 2 11 0 0 18.18
TM Head* c Copeland b Bollinger 7 23 1 0 30.43
JS Lehmann not out 21 32 2 0 65.62

What's wrong with this picture?

Using this as evidence, anyone who's played more than one season should be thrown out of the team!

This side is a joke. Cosgrove has been a massive, pun intended, failure. We lost Botha and Klinger because of him and I've yet to see any other evidence to deny this.
Heads form has plummeted and he has serious lacks in concentration for a first class batsmen. Not sure he will ever be the player we'd hoped. Ross has failed to take his chance, K.Smith in.
Lehmann has been pretty much the only positive for a while now.

Pressure has been too much for Trav, terrible decision to make him skipper despite his limited overs success.

Botha wasn't doing much wrong and Maxy didn't do ANYTHING wrong in his time here. If we wanted a local as skipper so bad why not Ferg ?? Experienced pro who makes runs and is polished in the media.

I mean we are still well in the hunt for the final and it'll be great to get there, but without Ferg and Richo we'll be pushing it uphill.

No Zampa while at the T20 World Cup (which we can't even bloody watch) and no Sayers for two games hurts as well

Don't really rate Zampa as a FC bowler but he provides an option and can bat. Sayers should've been back last match, they clearly had no intention of playing him (which I had no issues with)
