The renaissance of Old Players

One of the things I've noticed over the years is the ability of older chaps to continue playing elite football into their mid 30s.

Here's a list of players 33 and onwards still at the top of their game

Fitness standards and diet would help a lot, but recovery has also been so important and has gotten better.

I feel there will be more players going into the mid to late 30s, especially for the good ball users.

Everyone knows LeBron but players like Paul, Curry, Durant, Westbrook, Harden, are all legit superstars of the competition and all 35 and over.

The real issue is the amount of spuds (retro insult) notching up milestones, it wasn't that long ago that 'this guy's going to play 150 games for us' was a compliment for a young player. Now, you can bounce around three clubs and just about notch that up. And two million dollars.

The other was being a meticulous, driven professional for 17 years.
