Schofield should be fine since he has a good record (as far as I know). Let's say Lynch goes for 2 and we bring in Callum Wilson for those 2 and he plays two awesome matches, then what?

I would of thought both Schofield and Lynch have pretty good records. Correct me if I'm wrong! It'd be disappointing to lose either of them at this stage.

It'd be ridiculous if Schofield was suspended. Lynch could be anything from a reprimand to 6 weeks. I'm gonna guess he gets 2 weeks.

i get the idea that the mrp likes to pull rank on certain charges just to keep players honest.

schofield could and probably should get a week. unfortunately it looked completely deliberate. if waters comes into the team i can see poor will having a tough time finding his way back in. it's a shame because that was his best game in ages.

lynch is just so clumsy sometimes. he should probably get a couple of weeks all up. the bump was high and reckless. even without intent the mrp has indicated a willingness to punish severely (if inconsistently) on this.

would love to see lycett get a game, or mitch brown if he's ready.

my guess for lynch
Strike: Reckless, High contact, low impact
93 points
Bump: Reckless, High, low
170 odd points

2 weeks

He'll get 25% for his good record (no suspension in 5 years) and another 25% for a plea

FWIW - both will be negligent IMO. The strike in particular was an attempt to shepherd.

The bump came from side on - as opposed to front on - which is why I think that will be negligent as well.

The outcome will be 1 week for Lynch IMO

Schofield will only get a reprimand

Lynch is vital to our game plan/ structure, we don't really have anyone that can come in and do what he does with his marking. Would probably be wilson or brown, but I hope the MRP see some sense and let him off, he is a very honest player.

that's what worries me about our game plan!!

schofield will be alright if he can prove it was accidental and not a deliberate act may get a reprimand or 1wk or nothing at all .

Even if they deem it intentional - intentional, body, low impact - he'll get 125 points - so with a plea - it'll be a reprimand

The only concern he has is that MRP will give thought to the fact that murphy was running quickly (the pace the person is running is a consideration) and may upgrade his force to medium - in which case he'll cop a week

Schofield 1 week for something not really needed and unfortunately whilst he is coming into some pretty good form.

Lynch 4 weeks. 2 for both which will rob us off a really potent player and cost him any chance of All Australian.

Lynchy has simply been brilliant and if he was kicking straight he would be spoken off very highly this year by even Victorians

Just saw the Schofield one, Murphy clearly tripped on his own boot and fell over. A bit worried about the Lynch ones.

I know we're on eyed, but surely you could see Schofield slap Murphy's back foot causing his other foot to get caught and trip.

I probably sound biased too but I'm going to agree with sbd4884 here. Just finished watching the game and the amount of contact was Schofield was hardly anything, it was Murphy's foot hitting his other foot that tripped him up! I don't think Schofield will have much to worry about. If the MRP disagree with me then he'll get away with either a reprimand or 1 week, which will reduce with early plea and clean record (I think).

I thought he was lucky that that he got the carlton player with his forearm and not his elbow. It was a shepard that slipped up, his arm hit the should of the player and then slipped up to his neck.

His bump is a concern but Murphy made the most of it for a free kick. Will probably get a couple.

Schofield could be anything and dpends on how the review panel feel on this sunny day in Melbourne.

Does anyone think Thornton should get suspended for headbutting? Was a dog act and lucky to not break Natanuis nose.

Will be a bonus for carlton if he does. Ordinary player.

Didn't see lynch's first one, but the bump on murphy should at least be graded as low impact, didn't seem to have any ill effects and they seem to use the medical report a lot these days in gradings.

Reckless
High contact
Low impact

If they say it was front on (it wasn't) it's 250 points. If not front on it's 225 for rough conduct i imagine.

Unsure of his record but it think it's ok. Should be able to get it down to a week.

Schofield will be fine. Reprimand at most.

It's called an ankle tap. Clipping a players foot when they are running at pace will cause them to fall just about every time. It's an allowed method in Rugby and has saved teams many times.

Will will get off. 1 week down to a reprimand.

Lynch will get a couple. But it is ok as he was due for a rest and a 3 week break leading into a tough finals campaign will do him the world of good....

Carlton hack will get off because he plays for carlton who judd plays for. And he wasn't looking where he was thrusting his oversized head.
