For the people saying Murphy tripped on his other foot... That is the definition of a trip. Very dangerous. Identical to Essendon's Fletcher - which he got suspended for.

Lynch I think will get a couple of weeks. - it's a lottery like everyone is saying.

Thornton should get whacked... What a low act. Should have been a reversal at the time, poor call by the umpire who clearly saw it.

Lynch might be okay with an early plea and no suspension for 5 years giving him 50 percent total reduction. Schoey's in his 5th year, and im not sure if he can recieve the good behaviour reduction, Id say a player would need to complete 5 years of football first.

C Willson will probably come in for Lynch and Kennedy, Darling play further up the ground, if we wearnt playing the Cats next week Id rather Lycett come in but it will be a tough ask to debut againts an undefeated team

Schofield
Intention, Body, Low
Level 2 Tripping - 125 points (94 points with early plea)

Thronton
Intention, Head, Low
Level 3 Headbutting - 225 points (168 points with early plea)

Lynch
Negligent, Head, Low
Level 2 Rough Conduct - 225 points (168 points with early plea)

Lynch
Negligent, Head, Medium
Level 2 Striking - 125 points (94 points with early plea)

Total - 263 points ( 198 points with good behaviour discount)

Schofield - Reprimand
Thronton - 1 week
Lynch - 1 week

He'll get 25% for his good record (no suspension in 5 years) and another 25% for a plea

FWIW - both will be negligent IMO. The strike in particular was an attempt to shepherd.

The bump came from side on - as opposed to front on - which is why I think that will be negligent as well.

The outcome will be 1 week for Lynch IMO

Schofield will only get a reprimand
You are on the money! That's exactly what I tipped.

Lynch should also get a discount as both instances were on Murphy who is in line for academy awards in every game he plays.

Is this accurate or a guess?

It's called an ankle tap. Clipping a players foot when they are running at pace will cause them to fall just about every time. It's an allowed method in Rugby and has saved teams many times.
An ankle tap is where you give a little kick to the players ankle...a trip is a trip. Ask East Freo's Trizzie Lawrence if unsure.

They were consistent... Eagles players kept rolling on top in the tackle for some reason and they blew it every time. They were obviously looking for it as it hasn't been a rule till this week.
Did you happen to miss the one where Kerr dived on the ball then someone jumped on his back and it was called holding the ball? That was more of an in the back than the Naitanui one.

They are always going to get a few wrong... Scott Selwood missed out on one at the beginning too. Shuey should have been pinged for a throw that lead to a goal.

What i've found in most games - The umpires try to even the free kick count. If one team has got a lot of frees in the first half they will come out and give everything to the other team. This is not paranoia... It happens, and it allows the umpires to come and and refer to the count after any critism.

The ball popped out while being tackled he used his right hand to tap it on...didn't look like a throw to me.

The umps weren't bery successful if that was their aim...23 to 13?? Plus 3 dodgy 50 metre penalties

My guess:
Schofield - 1 week
Lynch - 3 weeks in total
Thornton - 2 weeks

Lynch is in the best form I've seen since I played against him as a 13 year old. He was 6 foot 2 already, and his marking yesterday brought back memories of treating my team-mates with distain, doing as he pleased in the marking contest.

Esperance/Grass Patch boy? Lynchy is from my hometown. =)

Schoey can accept reprimand - awesome!
B Thornton for that head butt on Nic Nat can accept reprimand.
Lynch can accept 1 week for rough conduct with Marc Murphy due to 5 yr good record, can also accept reprimand for striking Marc.
