The charge is Misconduct (Head butt/contact with head including face)

Yet they used the term headbutt in Jordan Lewis' case?

Lewis was offered a one-game suspension with an early plea for headbutting Essendon's Angus Monfries.

West Coast forward Quinten Lynch can accept a one-game suspension for engaging in rough conduct against Carlton's Marc Murphy. Lynch's good five-year record meant what was assessed as a three-game suspension can be reduced to one with an early plea.

Lynch was also charged with a striking offence against Murphy in a separate incident that earned him 45 demerit points.

Does the good behaviour bond get you more than 25%? :p

I can't see how Thornton get's a reprimand and Lewis cop's a week. I guess had NicNat thrashed around on the ground like a landed fish Thornton may have gotten more but still very inconsistant.
Lynch was Harsh as they were both going to ground and murphy pretty much came from behind Lynch who had no way of avoiding contact.
Also after watching the MRP video I'm getting very annoyed with the AFL cashing in on clumsy, blind, soft umpires running into players, who only have eye's for the ball and make the softest of contact only to be slapped with a fine:rolleyes::confused:
Oh and Barry Hall is still a thug who will do one more very stupid thing before he retires.

Couldn't agree more. All 3 should contest those stupid, ridiculous end of season trip fund raising fines!

I think someone has made a mistake somewhere. PerthNow saying he has a 2 week suspension

Lynch was offered a reprimand and 45 demerit points for the striking offence and a one-game ban for the rough conduct charge.

But as he was reported twice in the same game, the penalty increases to two matches based on the number of demerit points accrued.

Lynch drew 325 points from the rough conduct charge and 80 points from the striking offence, totalling 405 points and a four-game ban.

His five-year good record reduces the penalty to just two weeks with an early guilty plea.

Yeah my thoughts as well.

You must retain reductions for good behaviour and hikes due to loading from match to match rather than offence to offence?

Edit: Nope - Just saw the post above - they carry over from offence to offence.

So mutliple offences in the same match hurt.

Thought 1 week was a bit soft for two offences.

If we challenge the 80 pointer and lose, it will still be 2 weeks.. (so no point accepting the 45 or 60 points - whatever it would be otherwise). Accept the bump (that gives him a week) and challenge the elbow (as it is a free crack, other than more carry over points)

Even if he loses the second one, he still only gets 2 weeks.
