You can definately smell the fear of a Richmond flag.
What a load of hot c==k. Good luck to anyone good enough to win a Grand final on that day, but saying 'fear' is involved is stupid

This thread is only a bit of fun and everyone knows that both Collingwood and Essendon have more fans than Richmond but that is not the point about Richmond. The point is that Richmond brings a unique emotional edge. The Tiger Army narrative is not about how many turn up its about the emotion and engagement they bring with them.
A finals series with the Tigers brings a sense of occasion and expectation that is in all honesty probably unequalled. The heights are that bit higher and that bit more loudly welcomed. The depths are that bit deeper and more loudly moaned about.
Richmond are the AFL's passion play. It's soap opera.
Lol Essendon are bigger than Richmond.I may change the thread title to the tigers are the biggest club in Australia.
No 1 for Home game attendances
No 2 for Total Game attendances
Record Elimination final crowd
Record Qualifying final crowd
We are clearly number 1, daylight is second
Lol Essendon are bigger than Richmond.
Home games out of Etihad, trips to qld twice & Sydney twice finished lower on the ladder & only a few k less fans went through the gates. Add in a few variables and it makes the tigers effort seem not so valiant
would've could've and should've.
Score is on the board bud.
The tiger has awoken, hear how we roar
And this is why we all hope you go out in straight sets. The most delusional and annoying fan base in the competition.
Please tell me you realise in 1980 Richmonds home ground was the MCG and Collingwoods was Victoria park.Richmond got 91,000 to an Elimination Final against North Melbourne. Game, set and ******* match.
Richmond are the biggest club in Australian sport right now. Essendon got their momentum killed because of the drug scandal and Collingwood well...Collingwood have been rubbish onfield so it's the same 'what ifs' we had all those years Richmond were rubbish.
The last time Richmond and Collingwood both flexed their muscles as onfield powerhouses was 1980, both teams made the GF and Richmond had 828,000 attend all H&A games. Collingwood 723,000. Essendon a measly 548,000. Richmond, Essendon and Collingwood will continue to alternate at the top based on onfield success. That's what separates them.
Carlton are minnows now, irrelevant.
And your excuse that Richmonds attendance was higher this year is...Please tell me you realise in 1980 Richmonds home ground was the MCG and Collingwoods was Victoria park.

Richmond finished 3rd and Collingwood finished 13th? Maybe that's the reason? And your excuse that Richmonds attendance was higher this year is...
Incorrect. Richmond outdraw anyone in the league. They don't do it all the time, but it's done enough. We are the biggest club in Australia. Lame attempt at an Essendon supporter trying to drag us to your level and get the support of Collingwood supporters in the process.Richmond finished 3rd and Collingwood finished 13th? Maybe that's the reason?
Funnily enough, Richmond finished 13th last year. Lets have a look.
Collingwood 2017 - 13th 1003991
Richmond 2016 - 13th 900237
Let's compare a top 8 Collingwood in 2013 to a top 8 Richmond in the same year.
Collingwood 2013 - 6th 1184621
Richmond 2013 - 5th 1040290
If anyone has a claim to be bigger than Collingwood, it is Essendon because of our national support being comparable to Collingwood. The reality is that we aren't bigger than Collingwood.
A good Richmond and Essendon simply do not outdraw a good Collingwood.
How many times have you done it since the suburban grounds were fased out?Incorrect. Richmond outdraw anyone in the league. They don't do it all the time, but it's done enough. How many times we made finals since the suburban grounds were fased out? I mean, you can't sit there and say that Collingwood didn't do better than Richmond because Richmond were higher placed and then throw this argument about. It's quite simple, if Richmond are succeeding on field, no one is bigger than them. Not even Collingwood. Collingwood and Essendon are the Tigers only competition. How many times have you done it since the suburban grounds were fased out?

Which is why I also included 2013Our 13th was a lot worse. Season was over a lot earlier. Collingwood were a lot more competitive. Can't compare that
Which is why I also included 2013
