And to answer your question if he will come back, he won't, if he won't come back to be a Raw guest host, he won't come back to wrestling full time

They are all just living in the shadow of the great man

Also have this game to thank for making me the fine, upstanding citizen I am today. I'd most likely be hawking my arse for crack on the corner if it weren't for Wrestlemania
Hulk inspired me to spread my wings and not follow in dad's footsteps though.

The Rock mentioned that he was supposed to host Raw in January 2010, but had to be in Mexico to promote the movie so he had to cancel. He however announced that he plans to come back sometime in 2010 and guest host Raw. He said he does not just want to come back and guest host but he wants to entertain the fans in a way they haven't been entertained in years. The Rock claimed in an interview to Boston Mix's 104 that he had plans of returning but not for a wrestling match. When asked if he plans on wrestling a match, The Rock said: "How I would come back is a different capacity than what Hulk Hogan did or I believe Ric Flair is doing. Those guys are coming back to actually wrestle. I don't want to wrestle; I have no intention of wrestling a match." However, The Rock later stated that wrestling a match was something that he wouldn't put out of his mind yet.[105]

First off, not disputing the Hulksters icon status. Its indisputable.
But the man couldn't sell a move if his life depended on it, and is a selfish bastard who wouldn't job to "up and comers" to try and further their careers.

Painful to watch. Seeing as he was so great.

I wish The Rock was still around. Now all I can do is watch Royal Rumble 2000, and my "The Rock: The most electrifying man in sports entertainment" dvd's. So sad.

On ebay for $30.. tempting.

It is worth it. So much goodness. But sometimes they dont show his entrance which makes me sad. You need the entrance!

that royal rumble was one of the great events, possibly the greatest year wwe had IMO

Time to appreciate the great one. He deserves his own thread because he is one of the greatest entertainers of all time. I wanted to change my username to something Rock related but they are all taken. Lame.

Wrestling has been rubbish for a while but I'll watch it again if he comes back for just one night.

Fred and Chief have told me to give a warning that anyone who makes fun of him will be given a red card and have their internet taken away for 10 years.

this.

i am so thankful that we got the cable tv in my old share house when Tuesday night Raw had the great one on weekly.

A part of the golden era of wrestling in the late 90s. The leader one could say of the new breed at the time.

and way more credibility and humour than cena, mysterio and whoever the hell else is in it now.

I watched it from about 97-2002ish. After that we moved house and didn't get foxtel for a few years. Once we got it again in 05 or 06 (I can't remember), I tried to watch it again but I couldn't get into it. It's more cringeworthy than entertaining. I didn't mind Orton the few times I watched it. It was Cena that caused me to mute the tv.

wish they'd bring out the tuesday night RAW's from those days on dvds.

i have seen early RAW seasons on DVD so am very hopeful.

As good as all those wrestlers were, i tuned in for the breif 5 min time slot they gave to Tori Wilson and espically Stacy keibler. It made my week seeing that woman in as little clothing as possible.

Enjoy

Randy is a way better wrestler, rock was a better entertainer.

I know you're trolling, but watching a bloke rest his arms around another bloke's neck for twenty minutes isnt wrestling.

Anyway, The Rock's 2003 Hollywood Heel run is the stuff of legends. Just dominated for about six months with incredible heat. A ten minute promo where he doesnt say anything for half of it and the whole crowd is just loving it. The guy could write his own cheque to come back for one night, but he's making more money and not having to put his body through hell every night, so good on him. Last thing you'd want as a wrestler is to be Hulk Hogan, basically broke and just living on former glories, or like Kurt Angle, risking your life every night in the ring.

Man, being twelve years old and having Austar in 2001-2003 when the great one and Stone Cold were at their peak was unbelievable. Ignited my love of wrestling which has pretty much diminished, but I still check in on the new stuff once every six months or so. I feel sorry for the new guys like Cena and Orton. They're talented, but they just dont compare to Rocky Miava and Stone Cold.

Was great at what he did, in saying that i wasn't a huge fan of him as a fan favorite.... but loved his work as a heel. The highlight of my hate for him was around the time of WrestleMania X-8, couldn't cop him as the "good guy" when going up against Hulk Hogan. Heck even the crowd on the night of X-8 couldn't either :p.
