Sad that he sold out in the end. I think he understimates just how huge he could of become by just staying with wrestling and continuing the character. Would of literally became one of the most loved television characters of all time.

Seems to me that you dont really understand the wrestling industry at all. The industry is littered with wrestlers forced to wrestle night after night, taking bump after bump on ruined muscles because they are broke.

The Wrestler, the movie, is pretty much a bio of Jake the Snake Roberts and heaps of other wrestlers who are stuck in the industry. Look at Angle, as much as I love him, he's risking a broken neck every night in the ring, but he wont retire. Look at Hogan, he's desperate for a WWE payday yet again. Look at Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Mike Awesome etc etc.

i think Wrestling fans should watch Beyond the mat as well.

The rock was right to leave when he did.
He still remains "The great one" probably because he left essentially on top.

If he'd remained, he wouldve ended up like the sad, tattered joke hulk hogan is these days.

Pretty awesome. No one, except maybe Austin, can walk out to such a huge pop and keep eyeballs locked to the screen for well over five minutes without saying a damn thing.

Having said that, man I wish he came back as a heel. Heel Rock is unstoppable. Face Rock is just a bit too vanilla.

Said he's back for good, wonder how that will play out. Could only see him doing guest stint or something tbh.

I was thinking that after I watched it again. When you look back at all the memorable comebacks, JR going nuts is what makes it awesome.

Just like commentary in sporting moments can often make or break the moment. It's the Rock though so it's still awesome.

The first minute or so was a pretty awesome hype up too. Is Raw still on Wednesdays?

And what's with Michael Cole, is he the bad guy commentator now?

I've been doing a bit of background reading and apparently he's WWE's biggest heel atm because of that whole 'message' beep and interrupting the person in the ring with a message from the 'anonymous Raw GM'.

On JR, apparently he never read the rundowns and everything that happened, he was finding out for the first time. His commentary when HHH returns and confronts Stone Cold is amazing.

hope he fights orton, cena is irrelevant.

My guess is Miz vs. Cena with Rock as special guest referee. Vince will be worried about Miz's ability to be a main event draw so has added Rocky as insurance.

Wow. He didn't miss a beat in that promo. Well except for the few times he said 'I' instead of 'The Rock' while in character.

Very tempted to buy WM27 now. Even without knowing any of the matches or guys running the show these days.

They could use this to set the 12 year old fans (Cenation) against the older fans (The Rock's People).

Would be better than any typical Face vs Heel feud.

He showed how shit todays wrestlers are at promos, for 20 minutes he had everybody in the stadium eating out of his hand.

I haven't watched WWE in a few years (besides the odd show), but this would be the perfect time for Cena to become heel. I reckon he would make a decent one too.

I watched Smackdown last week and it looks like Orton and Edge are both faces now. I was disappoint.

Wow at both things you said. Could not imagine Cole as a heel.

And that makes me respect JR even more!
