All looked ok at AFL level.
Byrne could be a gem.
Sheehan would slot straight in.
Wood has one more year on his contract.
Walsh and Fields looked a touch slow, but have other strengths; kicking/strength/leadership. Hopefully they get on crippa's running program!
Saw Gowers in a few VFL games - seems a real leader on the field.

Wood's good in the ruck so we should definitely keep him. I really hope we get rid of Russel - hasn't really done anything. I suppose Gowers could go as well but there still is the option to stay.

Captained WA Under 18 team last year, kid has potential to say the least, just needs to be given a fair go in the seniors now.

Brad Walsh has just won the Laurie Hill medal for 2015

Looking forward to next year with Walshy. Nothing against Clem but I think Brad could be our real steal from last year!
The guy is built like a tank for a 19 year old... I really hope that we keep him and continue with his development. Could be another one of our rookie steals.

Jesse Hogan was robbed! :p

Congrats to Brad and well done. :thumbsu:

Congrats to Brad! This is probably watered down a bit given all the VFL and AFL injuries this season, but still a testament to his consistency and ability to get his hands on the footy at VFL level.

Not sure why we kept using him as a sub at AFL level, clearly not an impact player, though it's all a moot point now.

Blues sign Korcheck

The Carlton Football Club has signed US basketballer Matt Korcheck as a Category B International Rookie.

Korcheck, who stands at 6”10 (208cm) and weighs 105kg, caught the eye of recruiters at a Florida screening camp in April this year. He was later invited to train with the Blues and spent three weeks at Ikon Park in August.

The 23-year old, who previously played Division 1 College Basketball for the Arizona Wildcats, hasn’t played much ‘Aussie Rules’ but Carlton’s GM List Management Stephen Silvagni says Korcheck has shown great potential.
