Hopefully we can at some stage focus a little more on on field issues/drafting after this season. It has been 10 years since the off-field stuff & it just seems like we have not mentally focused on the playing side of things.

Not saying we haven't necessarily been trying to do well with drafting/playing, but the spectre of being good citizens still seems to hover over it. All the players seem too scared to lead - really seems to be no real captaincy options. When games are in the balance no one can be relied on to stand up. There never seems to be a line drawn on unacceptable onfield performance when the game is on the line.

Important games seem to produce a lift in performance. Everyone knows we fail in the 4th quarter. No-one stands up even in that knowledge. There seems to be no tactic to stop it happening again.

10/10 with being good citizens. There is probably not a club who has done better with avoiding off-field problems & we rarely have suspension issues.

3/10 with good onfield category. Wooden spoon, minimal finals and the GF not considered due to the insipid/putrid performance put up in thatgame and pretty much ever since.

It will be like Armageddon in WA if Brisbane knock us off this week. Can you imagine?

I'm still visualizing we'll get over the line in a thoroughly unconvincing manner, to the surprise of nobody.

Finals on the other hand is goneski, i'm not even going to entertain it. Unfortunately for us the club will very much entertain the idea and clearly make a late push only to likely be denied and finish 9th, the absolute worst.

Long term if Brisbane won this week and extinguished our finals hopes it would serve us better. Just saying. No homo
