Prediction The Run home 5 games

Starting to regret my decision to book a flight and tickets to the game against the Saints in Round 20. Not confident at all that we'll get up in that one.

Oh well there's always Chin Chin and icy cold pots at the Napier...weekend won't be a total loss

stokesy is a ******* should just stfu. probably the most in denial out of all this
No - that would be shared between Nisbett and Vozzo.

It's been a great year. Lathlain is going brilliantly, deal done at Burswood and lodges an application to say we are ready for an AFLW team. To sympathise, the Eagles have cemented their place in the AWFUL ladder.

Having lost to Collingwood it'll all come down to the St Kilda game as the chances of beating both GWS and Adelaide are pretty tiny.

We'll beat Brisbane and Carlton. Brisbane aren't playing well enough to win over here (at the Gabba it'd be a different story), and Carlton are really crumbling with injuries. Beat St Kilda and suddenly we only need one win from the last 2, with Adelaide probably being at least a game and percentage clear on top.

So yeah...beat St Kilda and the season still has a pulse. Lose and we flatline.

Brisbane: Win, but it will be a close game.
Saints: Lose, look how we play in Melbourne.
Carlton: I reckon they're cooked, could be a flat track...
GWS: Lose, maybe by a lot.
Adelaide: We're a chance here if Adelaide have first sewn up.

Prediction: We finish 9th on 12 wins, ahead of WB and the Saints. Essendon finish 8th on 13 wins.
You are fare too positive

We'll win all 5, finish 4th and win the flag :drunk::drunk::drunk:

This year feel a lot like 2014. A few chokes, especially in games over east (Essendon and Carlton games at Etihad are identical to what just happened on the weekend) We'll rely on someone to win in the last round to scrape into the 8, and it won't happen.

I also have the same, stupid sense of hope. I keep thinking, well we just need to win all our remaining games and we'll finish top 4. Like that would ever happen, or even matter if we do play finals, we'll put in a piss weak performance like last year, and all of this year, and we'll be no better for the season that was 2017.

I reckon we've got one more crack at it next year. NN back, softer draw from finishing lower and being s**t in general, and maybe the players will have some hunger like in 2015 after a dissapointing year this year (although I thought they'd actually try this year, after last year's efforts) 2018 is absolutely the last chance for any of the senior players on the list to win a flag, otherwise,Shuey, JK, NN etc will retire with their only GF being a reaming from the Hawks.
As far as winning the flag, I went for a picture and realised that like the Eagles Hope for success in 2017, Bob Hope is dead.

Unlike Bob, we have a chance next year but it will take a 2015 effort with a large chunk of the 2015 personnel not there.

Brisbane - Kennedy will have 6 goals in the first quarter on the way to 11 for the match and we withstand a 10 goal final quarter by Brisbane to hold on by 7 points. Partington picks up 22 possessions 4 tackles and a goal. Stokesy releases an article declaring the season ON!

St Kilda - Partington, Karpany and Redden make way for the returning Priddis, Masten and Hill. We get ambushed in the first quarter and are never quite in the game. Darling and Kennedy combine for 5 goals to keep the score to a "respectable" 23 point loss. Stokesy releases an article hailing Priddis who gets more tackles than possessions.

Carlton - with the season effectively over the club brings back Partington and Redden. Kennedy kicks 7 to take the lead in the Coleman on the way to a comprehensive 84 point win. Stokesy declares the season ON and Nic Nat is mooted a surprise starter.

GWS - Partington goes out for Masten after his freewheeling 34 possession game with Simpson explaining that he's got some things to work on. Nic Nat comes in and absolutely stars in the first half, with Sheed and Mitchell taking full advantage. Off the back of this we race to a 40 point lead at half time with Darling kicking 5 goals. Having selected 4 ruckman the team tires noticeably as the game goes on and GWS run over the top to win by 12 points. Stokesy releases a 5 things we learnt article in which 4 of the 5 points are positive and Nelson is singled out as the negative.

Adelaide - Adelaide rest 18 players and NicNat is withdrawn with "soreness". Partington comes back in for Masten and Rioli debuts kicking 4 (including the goal of the year (a banana over his head from the boundary)). We win by 12 points finish 9th and Stokesy releases and article declaring the season a complete success. Simpson has his contract extended to 2024. No news forthcoming around NicNats mystery ailment but he is seen in a wheelchair. Jobe Watson is seen talking to Simpson and there are rumours we are set to make a play for him for pick 10.
Absolute Classic!

Does Josh win the Coleman medal?

Essendon will get the wobbles but still sneak into finals ahead of us with a superior %.
End of story....................until the start of next season when full of Priddisless hope we all contemplate a miraculous resurgence culminating in the 2018 flag.

GWS could be ripe for the plucking. We play well at Spotless, no Jeremy Cameron, Mumford doubtful - keep the faith!

Well I managed to get the eagles finishing top of the ladder with all games falling our way, we winning all our games and 2 of them by more than 7 goals.View attachment 398627

Wouldn't that be something if Nicnat came back and was such a difference that WCE won the flag ..haha

All the melts and Simmo needs to wake up /sack threads would make it a interesting year to explain ...
