The run to finals

Sorry but that is plain brilliant! Solid gold! Odd how Kreuz and Jeannie seem to fit right in there.
I love the guy but Kreuzer does have a bit of that look about him.
I wonder if Ratts and Robbo do parties.

We can still make top 4.

Much of the current top echelon now has to play eachother in the run home.

If we win all of our games we finish with 16 wins, enough to sneak in. It looks like their will be 1 win between much of the 8 at end of H/A. Very exciting if we get our shit together and beat Hawthorn. This, more than the last two, is season defining

LOL. So to summarise, we're going to win all of our last games and make the top four? I wish that I shared your optimism.

Thanks to Andrew Walker for the link

Very funny stuff. And clever as hell. Brilliant casting: never thought of Gibbs as in inbred but his dancing was classic. And Krueze! Think he may have featured heavily in the squeal-like-a-pig scene.

A welcome relief to the doom, gloom and vitriol that has dominated this board since the season went awry.

I believe that Geelong didn't win the game against CFC - CFC lost it though inaccurate kicking.
WC - a few bad decisions from players at crucial times (eg Joseph centering kick back to Jamison - when he had two other players in the open to choose from if he had the skill to execute) or Juddy taking that mark ( hard to do when your jumping ability is shot because your groin is shot) OR the blatant umpiring 'errors' could have seen a different result.

CFC is not that far off the pace - despite Judd and Kreuzer playing far less than 100% and Laidler/Murphy/Waite still out - look how much difference Carrazzo made first game back.

Hawthorn is a big ask but Laidler will be back to shore up HB and Duigan seems to have regained form, Carrazzo is a huge in for us. I think Collingwood will not be as tough as Hawthorn we match up well against the wobblers. Teh key issue abotu having these outs - is these players are all amongst ou best 10-12 and are all smart footballers - huge outs.

After these two matches we probably get Murphy and Waite back - and we probably have at least one tall in VFL to trial as well.

Lets not forget that during Essendon game we lost Carrazzzo/Laidler/Curnow and Yarran and have only picked up more injuries since. The CFC of the first three rounds hasn't been on the paddock since that time. Beat Hawthorn and we will go into Collingwood match a very strong chance.

If we can get into 8 - anything can happen. On the MCG we are as good as any - with anything like a full team on paddock.

Murphy wont be back until Dogs game but I agree with the optimism. However the problem is we are in such a deep hole that if we make the 8 we'll have to get to the GF via an interstate final. I'm confident in Melbourne but not on the road.

I'm saying we could go top 4 and suggesting we avoid predicting our own doom too soon

I don't doubt that we can win it from 8th with a healthy list combined with good momentum and confidence.
Would be very hard though if 3 interstate teams finish inside the top 4 or 5 positions, would fancy our chances if we met an Essendon, Hawthorn or even Collingwood if they finished 5th and we did finish 8th but the following weeks would be hard to recover for if you need to go interstate.

These are the exact type of statements that we build ourselves up to be this great side we are not, whilst a full strength Carlton list is capable of challeging the best, it will not go close from 8th spot.

Waite is very questionable whether he can be of any valve on a ongoing basis, that immediately creates a issue with our forward structure which has been very ordinary most of the year, Murphy when he does return may take 2-4 games to find his best, & combined with the fact that our list is not as strong as we may have thought at the beginning of the year.

We need to beat one of Hawks & Pies to make finals which will be very tough, lose both and l do not see us making finals, it is a long time since we have beaten the Hawks best outcome is finish 8th, maybe win 1 final, do not see us realistically going any further, particuarly with strong chance of most games would be interstate.

Traffic jam forming at 6 and 6
Exactly and in our run home we have five "8-point games" in Melbourne against North, WB, Richmond, Brisbane and St Kilda.

Win a majority of those, beat GC away, sneak in a win against Hawthorn, Collingwood, Sydney or Essendon and we finish with 11-12 wins.

Perhaps enough to sneak into the 8 where with Murphy back we'd play the Bombers in the first week. :D
