Rush are cool and criminally underrated in Australia of course. Would love to see them live but you'd have to go OS for that, no chance of them touring here.

To be honest, it would totally be worth paying for. Neil Peart is the best drummer alive today.

Great music, great musicians, excellent songs.

Just can't stand Geddy Lees' voice though. Brings everything down IMO.

Geddy is an acquired taste sure, but he's still awesome

I haven't listened to a lot of them but the 2112 album, especially the 7 part song 2112, is brilliant.

Their latest album Clockwork Angels is amazing. I can't believe guys who should be retired are still creating some of the best
rock you will ever hear

Geddy Lee's voice isn't what it was and he struggles somewhat with much of their old work but given they released 2112 when I was born I can forgive an old mans voice struggling with the high end vocals.

I absolutely love this intro to Tom Sawyer, pissed myself when I first saw it

More Magic!!

I have seen them live 4 times in the u.s best live band i have seen.

Would be great if they tour here one day.

That makes me ridiculously envious! I'm trying to convince my Canadian wife to move home.
Partly because I want to see them!

They are doing a tour next year apparently.

Might be the last chance to see them so i say go for it.

Indeed. I just WISH beyond all wishes that they would tour here for once!

Their studio albums don't do a hell of a lot for me, but a mate lent me a couple of live albums and they're excellent, especially Different Stages.

Yeah that's a decent album for sure, really enjoyed it. Footy journalist Rohan Connolly is a big Rush fan, heard him crapping on about them on SEN one day, good on him!

haha, have had one or two back and forths with him on Twitter about them!
Bastard saw them not too long ago.

Don't know any Rush (apart from Tom Sawyer) and they have been one band i've wanted to get into for some time. My friend gave me their discography a while ago but i havent got around listening to them yet.

I'm going to the States in July and as luck would have it, they are playing a concert in one of the cities im visiting while i am there as part of their 40th anniversary tour. So now is the perfect time to start listening!

Can anybody give me some albums they would recommend i start with?
