I present to you the Russian sleep experiment.

So, supposedly The Russians tried to keep 5 POW from WWII awake for 15 days straight. No cctv, just microphones (to observe) and was conducted in a small room. After 5 days the 5 blokes start to demonstrate severe paranoia whilst trying to win the trust of their captors by turning over their comrades. After 9 days, one of the guys basically loses the plot, running around screaming at the top of his lungs for 3 hours. After 3 hours the screaming stops, remains is an occasional squel.....Reserchers believe he has torn his vocal cords.

On the morning of the 14th day the researchers did something they said they would not do to get a reaction from the captives, they used the intercom inside the chamber, hoping to provoke any response from the captives they were earn one of you your immediate freedom."
To their surprise they heard a single phrase in a calm voice response: "We no longer want to be freed."

Personally, At first I believed the story but the more I read about it the more it just doesnt make sense. After losing all that blood and your guts hanging out......surely thats the finish for you. There isnt actually any hard evidence of this. An experiment must of been documented at some time ?
Do I put it pust the Russians during WWII........Nope, They are capable of something like this and probably would of done it if they had the chance.

Oh my god why is this a thread? Do you know what creepypasta is? It's made up scary stories that people "copypasta" around the internet. This originated from 4chan, the story is in no way plausible either.

Never even heard of creepypasta until this thread. It was a story that I was told and until looking into it further, I wasnt really sure about the story.....well some aspects of it.

I beg to differ. The americans bargained with the Japanese general who conducted all those studies using Chinese prisoners. They gave him a new identity in exchange for those results.

Look graham, I know you're crazy but are you seriously going to argue that the Americans did worse stuff than the Japs in WWII? I'm sure you know about Unit 731, the torturous activities done to POWs, the canablism, the Burma Railway, Pearl Harbour etc.

Love how it's clarified in the first post that it was WWII and people were surveilled, but yeah there were no CCTV to watch them with... thanks for clarifying that!
