My prediction also kinda.

Magpies leave the SANFL to be the Powers ressies.
Crows create a new ressies.

8 team SANFL

So in other words the end of the SANFL, there is no way that if this is the scenario the SANFL could be classed as anything else but a total mickey mouse contrived competition, 150 + yrs tradition down the spout, the oportunity to go and see weekly suburban footy gone and for what!

Game over beeetches Demitriou and Victoria have finally done it

We will reap what we sow, the curse of the bambino took 86 years in Boston how long will this piece of stupidity take to mend the bad Karma

Enter the Rob Chapman paradigm of total stupidity, maybee we could get that other well known " banker " on the Board, TIM Marcus Clarke for President

fixed it for you.

about time you came around.
Question for the mods: Wasn't there a BF rule that quotes should not be altered?

FFS get it right.
Have been charged with a technical infringement and have until March 25 to present a case against being found guilty of the infringement, which may result in a fine if true.
Did NOT exceed the overall salary cap, the charge relates to payments to a player in a non-playing capacity.

Just like us and the Port (SANFL) team. Did not go over cap, but did a technical infringement.

Went to City Mazda last night to watch the trial between West and Sturt.
Half the power squad and coaches were there to watch Robbie Gray's return.
Josh Jenkins did watch his Sturt team mates,Brad Moran also there!

Brodie Martin played serviceable, took a nice grab and kicked a goal, pretty sure he only played first half as I saw him leaving the ground at the start of the last quarter.Says to me the club wanted him to have a run but be ready for the start of the season.

Tambling and Kerridge both played full games.
I'm not a fan of Tambling was never in favour of us chasing him at all but I give the man the credit due to him. Keeps turning up and trying and last night I thought he was near best on ground. He possesses speed and he did find a player with every kick he had.His disposal has been a criticism but he was good in this department last night.Played half back flank and may have had a run on wing as well.

Kerridge is one of those players who to me just doesn't stand out. Even last night he had 23 possessions but none is spectacular or exciting or game turning. He was solid and did his job but a lot of SANFL players could have that said about them. He really needs to find a position fast.
Others who saw the trial might have a different opinion but he needs to find something to elevate his game so that he becomes a regular in the Crows. Whether that is aggression, strong marking, close checking or running off a back line. I just don't see it yet in him and last night didn't change that...sorry!

Rory Laird had an okay game, what he does is clean and normally to the team advantage but he didn't seem to get a lot of it last night.
Was a trial game and the interchange was being used every few seconds it seemed so perhaps it was hard for players to settle into the rhythm of the game.
Good hit out for those players mentioned and if called upon they have all had a few games under their belt so should have some match fitness and be ready to go.

Cheers for the report LC40. Even if Tambo just misses out on Round 1 it sounds like he will play a lot of AFL this year. Definitely adds to the side with his pace and improved hardness/disposal.

Excellent report LC40 cheers.

Just found something interesting:

Brodie Smith (collarbone) 4-5 weeks
Ian Callinan (knee) test
Richard Tambling (back) test
Jason Porplyzia (stomach) test
Sam Shaw (knee) test
Small forwards Ian Callinan and Jared Petrenko are up against it trying to make the cut with limited match fitness under their belts. Sam Shaw has struggled with patella tendonitis in his knee while Brodie Smith is out with a broken collarbone. Richard Tambling is battling a back complaint and is an unlikely starter in round one.

I've heard a few things about an ongoing back injury to Tambling, and it must explain why Jaensch was picked in his place for the Carlton match. Perhaps he's recovered more rapidly than expected if he's played a full SANFL game.

Wasn't sure if I should post this here or on the independence from SANFL thread.

In case you missed it, here is a report from Channel 10 last night regarding the Crows fielding an SANFL Reserves side which is tied into the AFC licence issue.

Again it involves us compensating the SANFL. It would be nice if we could receive special draft concessions as part of these payments.
