yeah, he was on the bench more than you would normally see him. walked by me about 5-6 times. however much of that was early, he stayed on a lot more in the 3rd/4th quarters.

Thanks for the update/actual real info:thumbsu: ......however.....

AFC Round 9

IN - Crouch
OUT - any mofo that don't perform on sunday!

23 touches from Crouch is more than enough to earn his way back into the side next week, regardless of how we go against the Saints.

I am asking this question on this board as there wouldn't be too many Magpies supporters on here.

Question: Are the Magpies giving us a glimpse of what a reserves team would be like?

Hard to see why the other clubs would be against it happening atm. It will get rid of the bye as well as having two middle of the road teams that would have a hard time winning the premiership or the wooden spoon.

Because SANFL clubs want their cake and to eat it as well.

If the power and Crows have their own reserves side, the SANFL club would lose quality payers from their list and thus would impact on their performance and recruiting new players and players that they lose to the power and crows will set them back.

Ever since day 1 the SANFL clubs and commission have only every seen the 2 AFL clubs as cash machines. They don't really care if either win a premiership but as long as they make a profit and return a good dividend to them to allow that club to stay afloat.

I can not see the Crows or Poser having an SANFL reserves side anytime soon but we will have a reserves side paying somewhere.

Sando said all week that Crouch was only expected to play 70-80% game time, so it does seem that Westies followed through on the clubs instructions

I would rather Crouch come back next week as the sub opposed to playing next week for Westies

Sturt have had a heap of Crows listed players playing for them too, certainly hasn't given them an unfair advantage or anything.

Personally I think it would only strengthen the competition, creating a greater interest from the wider football supporting public. Also the removal of the bye could only be advantageous. However, as Alex says, the SANFL don't see it that way and as such I don't really see it happening.

I'd be more than happy for us to play in the VFL quite frankly, as long as we could attract some half decent sponsors for the side, which shouldn't be too hard, to help subsidize the extra players and travel costs.

I'd rather he starts on the ground, and is subbed off if required. But yes, any AFL football is better than more SANFL football.

That's a great point for people such as myself. The only interest I take in the SANFL these days is checking up on how the players on the Crows list have gone. I don't go to any games at all during the season, but this may change if there were a dedicated Crows reserve side.

We'll need the midfield strength against a very accomplished kangaroos group. Toughest game of the year that one I reckon. So far.

Depends if Swallow is available. Was struggling hard late in last night's game after his injury the previous round.

Ziebell, Wells, Bastinac, Adams, Wright, Atley even Cunnington and Harvey can all be dangerous on their day though.

Anyone watching Centrals v Sturt? I've only seen a little bit but Riley is doing well, he won the last 2 clearances. Hopefully Carl is there, Graham kicked a goal after the 3qtr time siren

Martin's playing pretty well, Jaensch not so much but has gone on a couple of dashes off half back and at least tried to create. Graham has been presenting OK up forward and has a couple of goals.

Haven't seen Henderson so I'm guessing he's on standby for tomorrow.
