Interesting that Johnston had 12 hitouts... Would he be able to pinch hit in the ruck at AFL level, or is he too short?

At 190cm I think he'd be way too short and certainly too light, also looks like it was hitouts galore, Craig with 48, Borholm with 35...

No, West Coast like us are a very ordinary side this year and last night only had 1 regular midfielder playing.

Massive changes should be made on that performance, just because we were in front in the 4th quarter and then lost to that team should be an indictment on the playing squad.

What?

Dumb post. Priddis, Masten, Gaff, Rosa and probably still Embley and that's without even looking at the team list.

Who were they really missing? Selwood and Shuey? A tagger and someone who's been down on form?

You got the vast majority of the team that started this year premiership favorite.

Speaking of dumb posts, go have a look at the stats for Selwoods and Shueys last month. Plus Kerr and Wellingham were missing.

Goldsworthy wins a free kick and goals after the siren- Eagles win by 2 points :D
Absolute bullshit decision. Campbell nearly had his head ripped off and it got paid holding the ball. Unbelievably awful...

Anyway. LJ looked to be moving around okay. He took a nice grab and kicked a nice goal on the run in the first. Rucked for a lot of the 2nd half which was kinda weird, but he didn't look out of place and more importantly moved well and was able to run out the game. Definitely couldn't ruck at AFL level though.

Pets had a lot of it. Standard Pets SANFL game really, hard at it, tackles, erratic disposal.

Forgot Thompson was on the Crows' list until the 2nd quarter. Was fine without doing a tonne. Not a day for key forwards which made his game easier. Seems to be WAY down in the pecking order at the Crows though so I dunnno.

Kerr is done. Selwood is a tagger, Hurn is not a midfielder, Wellingham is a haircut.

Shirt I like.

Butler had barely played EVER.

And HAMS? Honestly ...
Now you are just being silly.

Selwood is averaging 24.8 disposals a game, ahead of Danger, Douglas and Sloane.

Wellingham was worth a first round pick last year but has been injured.

Kerr is still averaging 20 disposals a game.

You said the vast majority of the team who started the year premiership favourites are there.. Part of what makes a team premiership favourite is players in the other positions also.. Alex simply raised that they had mids missing..

Kerr had one of his better years last year and has been good this year without being outstanding..

Selwood is a big loss for them.. Shuey also.. Wellingham has been injured but could be a damaging player when at the Pies.. Sheppard, McGinnity, Cripps, Hutchings etc or Kerr, Selwood, Shuey, Hurn etc? I know who I'd rather have not playing..

I can't believe we wasted our pick on Crouch! After all, four games is all we need to see how great a player will be....

Ablett: averaged 10 disposals a game after four games.
Pendlebury: averaged 11.75 disposals a game after four games.
Swallow: averaged 7.5 disposals a game after four games.
Bartel: averaged 13 disposals a game after four games.
Watson: averaged 8.5 disposals a game after four games.
Dangerfield: averaged 10.5 disposals a game after four games.
Selwood: averaged 16.5 disposals a game after four games.
Beams: averaged 17.25 disposals a game after four games.
Thompson: averaged 13.25 disposals a game after four games.
Kennedy: averaged 14.25 disposals a game after four games.
Cotchin: averaged 17.25 disposals a game after four games.

etc.....

FFS give the kid a chance. He's doing just fine, particularly seeing as though he's had an injury interrupted season. He'll learn that being lazy won't cut it in the AFL and hopefully Danger/Sloane will take him under his wing and mentor him in the ways of the AFL player. Calls from posters saying that he is 'ordinary' compared to a man child and a once in a decade freak are just embarrassing.
How are all the haters 2 weeks after I was last talking about crouch in here a few weeks back?

snigger, snigger. You should try football analysis as a profession, you're good at it.
What did you disagree with?

Alex was twirling his skirt around his head, cackling about all the mids WCE were missing.

I calmly pointed out they were missing their number one tagger (Scott Selwood, having a good year) and a good kid who hasn't quite done enough this year in Shoey.

Hardly enormous outs.

Other than that, it's Kerr (who is tumbling down the downside of his career) or maybe Wellingham (snigger snigger).

Seems like they had most of their "premiership quality" midfield.

Plus at least thirteen of their best fifteen players.

Joyce wont survive and CEY is an interesting one. Many thought he will come on a bit this year but has been disappointing for tye most part. Am I right in saying he signed a new deal ?? Not a great list move if so.

CEY signed on for 2 more years. No problem with that he showed enough during preseason.

Rendell said when they picked him that he was very much a project player, and would take time.

Will be the one who benefits most from us gaining a reserves side I think. Seems like one of those quieter lads who would struggle shifting between different clubs and systems. Was always going to be a project player, but one with real talent and potential at the end of it. Has a real point of difference that makes him worth hanging on to.

Joyce I really wouldn't worry about keeping, might turn out to be okay but really I don't think he offers any more than our next average midfielder in the queue. Should definitely have drafted that Clarke guy instead considering a KPD was an imminent need at the time and still probably is, as opposed to another midfielder...

CEY needs to get out of WWT. They have no idea what to do with him.

Also, him and Reilly are probably advertisments for why you only re-sign your guns in April. Anybody who is a fringe player, a kid, senior player out of form, whatever... should wait until at least July when you have a better feel for where they are at and how they are progressing.
