Just got home from the bay. LOL Glenelg!
Johnston was everywhere today. Craig went down early so LJ did a majority of the rucking for the rest of the game, rotating with our two other sort of KPFs (Langford and Gordon). They seemed to be working out the rotations themselves rather than Franou having set times for them which is why LJ was often seen a kick behind play, as Langford or Gordon would often come up from the forward line to take the next ruck contest and give LJ a breather.
So he was kind of part KPF, part ruckman and part quarterback. His excellent ball use and footy smarts made him very good at the quarterbacking role. Oh and if anyone was wondering - no he couldn't ruck in the AFL even a little bit.
His goals were a pleasure to watch too, his leg is a massive weapon.
He did pull up a little "hobbley" and sore a couple of times later in the game (his knee is taped) but definitely no "real" injuries or anything to worry about.
I'm not expecting him to get picked next week but he should definitely come in for a stretch of games as a key forward.
