Hi ya buddys!
I live in Melb, so I may of missed something....so, I just read an Adelaide Now article and in it , surprisingly to me, it said that Port already have a reserves team - as in the Port Magpies.... Is this a definate for next year that they will act as their reserves side? I thought Power were with us in trying to get both clubs in? The article said we'd be the only club without a reserves. Did I miss some announcement - all Power players to Magpies and tey will be Power 2's next year??
To add my view to the Crows reserves.. I hope they join the VFL !!! OK, I'm selfish.. reason being that I can go and watch!!!! And to keep you guys happy, yes I will write a report on here!:thumbsu:

I hope you guys do get a reserves side, will do a lot for building the base and depth below the AFL side.

Didn't read the article before the link above, re your point about Port Magpies the article now says "a stand-alone reserves team or alliance to a state-league team next year" - Rucci covering his behind again of course.

Can anyone honestly see 6 of the 8 SANFL clubs voting yes to allowing AFL reserves teams into the SANFL competition? There are 2 clubs already who won't be prepared to change their mind from a no vote no matter what happens (Centrals and the Bays).

I can't see it happening unless the SANFL clubs want a quick cash grab.

This decision is critical to the future success of the 2 AFL clubs in SA and as a result this vote should be taken away from the SANFL clubs who have their own vested interests.

It will be hard to fit him in. Who comes out? We've still got Crouch to come in.

The only enticement will be cash. Financially would playing a Crows or Port SANFL side and keeping all the gate receipts cut it?

If you look at footy in SA what are the priorities in highest to lowest?

I would say the following:
  • Providing whatever resources to the 2 AFL clubs to make them competitive and achieve success (I understand that the licences are going back to the AFL but the SANFL will get fair compensation for this when it occurs)
  • The SANFL clubs -ensure that they are financially secure
  • The SANFL competition itself
  • The junior competitions allowing kids the chance to be drafted.

Jaensch 3 goals, 20 disposals and 8 tackles...

Grigg with 22 disposals and a goal for Norwood, most possesions for the team..

Taking a wild guess that it's wet down at the Parade tonight?

Same in Melboune by the sound of it ?
Well thats what Emma Quayle said on Twitter

Yeah the last hour and a half has bucketed down - So much so that we've actually had to put buckets out to collect a couple of leaks!

EDIT: Over 10mm of rain in Melbourne in just the past hour!

Wife and kids away, footy shithouse, 6 pack and nearly a bottle of Cab Sav thought I'd put some on Metallica and turn it up loud.

Hadn't listened to And Justice For All for years.

Whilst loving it, geez the production values on it are shit house. So Bad. I think I remember it being shit, but I didnt care. Now I do. That Woorbaling is bad.

Wasn't that bad at the Parade tonight, rain stopped half way through the first and the ground held up alright for the Parade.

First time I had seen Graham in the flesh, OK probably not the best conditions for him but dear oh dear I hope we never have to rely on him.

Grigg is surprising me in a good way.

Looks like Joyce has just been knocked out right at the final siren, arms pinned in a tackle and head hit the turf hard. Thompson, Joyce, Callinan 1 goal each
