There's a lot of talk about pressure being on for these forward line spots Round 1 next year

However I'd be very surprised if Tex returns before mid-year, so there could be nearly a season's worth of football where Jenkins/Lynch/Johnston/Smack get a gig as focal points.

Your acting as if a player is either fast or slow, and no in between or varying levels?

Ah yes, typical BigFooty reaction to someone saying something you don't like. Don't argue their points, just twist their words or in your case just make some shit up about what they said to discredit their argument.

But the I'd expect no less from Tom Lynchs #1 Fanboi, it's quite fun watching you get your huff on whenever someone says something remotely critical about Tommy.

Last I heard from the club, he's ahead of schedule with his recovery and they're expecting him back around R3 next year.

How long it takes for him to return to top form is entirely a different matter again.

I thought round 3 was the schedule? It will be interesting to see what happens with our forward line next year. Tex, Jenkins, Lynch and Porps is top heavy.

Lynch plays a roaming role. He has a massive tank and a work ethic to go with it. He spends part of his time in the forward line, but a lot of it in other parts of the ground as well.

Any way you look at it, it's an interesting problem for the selectors to sort out.

If Porplyzia builds up his tank it won't be an issue of being too tall.

His issue is he struggles to run out 4 quarters.

Jenkins who has rucked for about 5 minutes per quarter is going to ruck for the whole game, right

So if Jenkins cant relieve in the ruck then what would have happened if Sauce went down against Collingwood ?

lol yes i am a big fan:D

However the point i was trying to put across is that those attributes mean nothing if they arent a good footballer.

Johnston is also quicker, more agile, better contested mark, and a longer kick than say a Gunston or Darling (besides marking for darling), but he isnt as good a player as them, and the same goes for lynch

He's 28, going on 29. If it was ever going to happen then it would have happened by now.

Name me how many of our midfielders this year could run out 4 quarters ...

ie. Our fitness is shyte. It's not like he is old!

No argument about our fitness levels being horrible this year... but Porps has never had a decent tank and in all likelihood never will. He's not old, but the prospect of improvement at his age is somewhat remote.

The only time I've heard differently was from Neil Craig, who was expecting improvement from Goodwin, McLeod & Edwards, who were aged 33-34 at the time. We all remember how much they "improved" in 2010.

I have said this without any on this board debating the issue .....IMO we have dropped our rotation rates from being the highest in the league at 160rotations

We saw in the PS how we struggled with a 80 capped rotations .......we trained as IRC for strength and speed with high rotations versus endurance running

So our drop in rotations has hurt us .....but is it in preparation for next season ....wouldn't think so?

Douglas Sloane & Dangerfield

Wright, Thompson, Mackay ......gone backwards fitness ......you can see them laboring

To be fair, Wright & Thompson are both known to be carrying injuries. No excuses for Mackay though.

I raised this in the Thoughts on the Collingwood game thread (my post was long and rambly but I think it's in there somewhere).

Do you have the numbers? Does anyone?

Will be back RD1 and operating at 100% :thumbsu:

What wrong with Wright .....corky explains 1-2 games ...but not rest of season

But i thought Lynch and LJ were directly replaceable.
This doesnt sound much like LJ to me
