He's ahead of schedule and a round 1 come back is on track and yes, a gun Walker will be back next year as well.
too early in his rehab to make any predictions of advanced conditioning

Westies win by 17. 6-7 to 3-8. 3 goals to none in the second half. Not the prettiest...

SANFL team in the GF, I don't care how they got there. So long as they win.

Half time

Graham 5d 8ho 1.0
Martin 5d
McIntyre 4d 0.1
Johnston 7d 5i50 1.2
Johncock 5d
Ellis-Yolmen 16d 1.0
Petrenko 13d 2cl

Dowdell 1d 10ho

Battersby, Aish 9 touches, Dumont 7 touches, Scharenberg 5 touches for the U18 players

Johnston presenting hard, but the conditions just aren't suitable for a marking forward, kicked a beauty of a goal against the wind though from a tight angle. Had another shot but either complete misjudged where the mark was or the man on the mark crept over by a metre or so which I thought he had.

Conditions looked to have improved so hopefully he can have a big 2nd half.

Unfortunately, considering the selectors attitude towards him, 17 touches and 3 goals probably isn't going to get LJ a game next week. He'd have to get about 40 touches and 10 goals before they give him a go.

I think a lot of people forget that LJ was picked right after (before?) lynch. The saints didnt rate lynch and look where hes got to after he could put a few games together. a forward line of tex, jj, lj and lynch with 2 crumbing forwards/mids would be good, not really too top heavy either since lynch could roam around. jj and tex are good on the ground, jj is pretty quick too. I dont know about johnston but im assuming he is like tex...

Good to see this kid doing well in the league side. :thumbsu:

Probably needs to kill it for two years straight though before he can get his chance in our all-conquering 12th ranked side.

C'mon he missed almost half a season, of course he needs a string of games, particularly when he's an unproven player. An experienced forward with runs on the board could come in after a game or 2 but not johnston's situation.

Haha... You're not seriously suggesting CEY has done enough for a call up are you?
