Quarter time between West and Sturt. Very scrappy, wet game. Missed first 5 mins. Tambling is limping around after getting a knock to his knee. Porps has 8 touches supposedly, weren't effective for what I saw. Highlights were the Sturt player flattening the goal umpire trying to take a mark on him and Tuck having half his head covered in paint from the grass.

Porplyzia has a sore right shoulder or arm. Has been holding it for a while after a hard contest.
No kidding Porps has sore shoulder . Not having a go at Fan 14 match view , but time Crows realised his shoulder stuffed and much as would love to see the real Porps back I am afraid not likely to happen.

Half time now between West and Sturt. Cleaner quarter from both sides. Martin has a little bit of a sore ankle after Porplyzia crasehed into him. Porplyzia was nursing his elbow according to the boundary commentator. Tambling has a sore knee after it got knocked in first quarter. All playing on though and playing alright.

Good to see Martin finding it. Hope he gets a couple AFL games on wing before the end of the year.

Dowdell getting hands on it, CEY also.

Porps...might as well refresh for next year and put 2013 behind him.

Shaw minimal touches...injured again?

Tambling, Jaensch, Callinan, Graham...who cares.

The entire Sturt team are playing some of the dumbest wet weather football I've ever seen.

Martin is getting plenty of it, but not kicking anywhere near enough. Way too much handpass (like the rest of his team)

Tambling looked good til he got injured. He was about the only only bloke in his side actually adapting to the conditions. Now they've got him resting up forward, so he must be struggling.

Graham is a dufus. He's half a foot taller than the bloke he's rucking against and still having no impact. Trying to pinpoint little backwards taps in horrible conditions. BELT IT FORWARD! He insists on either kicking wide or handpassing. KICK IT LONG UP THE MIDDLE!

Jaensch hasn't done much of note.

Porps has done some clever things, as you'd expect, but he shouldn't come back into the side based on this game. Elbow knock doesn't seem too bad.

Ah yes, the Matty Clark special, all of our ruckman under Clark have sought to do this, shame they haven't put as much effort into impacting the game around the ground.

Graham is one of the most baffling trades we've done.

Could've got someone else and then rookie draft for Graham/any ruckman.

That was smoke and mirrors stuff to try and remove some pressure from the Tippett situation.

Waste of time, money and a spot on the list.

I used to love reading this thread on a weekend to see how the young guns were doing in the SANFL, but now they are all playing for the Crows I'm kinda lost

Martin ok, Tambling BOG for us until he got hurt, Jaensch and Graham poor. Porps got better and I was impressed by his attack on the ball. As mentioned we played so poor, handballing ala Crow style when all we needed was a kick before we tired late on.

Hope some of the other Crow boys went ok

Callinan kicked 4.0 for Centrals today.

Dowdell had another bucket of hit outs (along with Guilhaus).

Centrals best win for the year, while North were quite undisciplined (5 x 25 metre penalties against, and an off the ball free kick 20 metres out from Centrals goal late in the game).

jesus so you fellas could actually see the players on tv?

could barely see them while standing on the deck at richmond today. especially when the rain just came down in a sleet in the 3rd or 4th quarter. nice and cold.

Its good that Dowdell managed to get six clearances along with his hitouts, bodes well for his ability to contribute to the midfield effort

Should have looked at Brady Dawe from Norwood
I quite like the look of Mark Evans too (albeit not as a ruckman, obviously) from what I've seen of the Norwood games the ABC has broadcast this year. Unlike most of Adelaide's forwards, the kid can kick fairly straight.

How is his disposal going

Today's conditions makes it hard to judge, but in general I haven't thought his disposal has been an issue. Has a nice long kick for goal and seems to hit targets ok. My main criticism early was he seemed lost on the field and drifted out of games, but has found his spot in the backlines.

Ellis-Yolmen another really good game at CHB. Has found his spot playing on the bigger opposition forwards. Uses his body well and is quick. Could take the 3rd tall at AFL level or a smaller player if opposition only has two tall forwards.
We've been waiting for Sam Shaw to get fit all these years, maybe CEY will take over? Defensive talls of Hartigan, Talia and CEY?

Hell, if Shaw can actually get fit, we could have amazing flexibility back there with a defensive 7 post Rutten of Talia, Hartigan, CEY, Shaw, Henderson, Brown, Laird...would allow Smith to move up to the midfield.

EDIT: Dunno if true but the AFC site lists CEY as 183cm tall, so prob not 3rd tall material but definitely a Smith replacement...get Smith up into the midfield with his mate Polec
