Add another pairing to the soundalike group on SEN.

Darren Parkin and Teo Pelizzieri.

When they start talking, I can never tell who's who.

Apart from the twang in Dasher's voice, there's no difference for me.
No way.

Yeah, those two stand out a lot to me. Teo is very proffessional and maybe too often tongue in cheek or sarcastic, but otherwise a breath of fresh air. Parkin....not my cup of tea but if he has a good partner on air it can work but other than that he is treading water at best with his " I love stats, I'm just an average bloke, yeahhhhh. Hehehe". Both are good contributors over all I reckon.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but during lengthier interviews/special guest-type slots, the hosts on the station are really bad at letting listeners know just who that person is throughout the segment. You can't just introduce them at the start and then make no reference to their identity again until an ad break or the end of the interview. You can't just assume that everyone has been listening the whole time; you need to make regular reference throughout the segment to who that person is.

For example, the other night, Josh Jenkins was a special guest on the US show they have on Sunday nights - but you wouldn't have known it unless you were listening from the start. There was close to 10 minutes of radio before his name was mentioned (and it was only mentioned because it was the end of the hour/show). Harford and Dowling do this too with 'Jesaulenko You Beauty', where if you miss who the identity of the person they are interviewing when he is introduced, or you can't work it out based on the discussion, you will be waiting a while until you find out who it is.

Every couple of questions, the hosts should be saying things like, "This is X and we are currently talking to Y..." so that listeners who happen to tune in mid-segment can work out quickly what is going on. For those who have heard/seen any of "Mike and Mike" on ESPN, they do this very well.

Does anyone else find it slightly amusing that a divorce lawyer is advertising on SEN? :D Perhaps they think we wanna be weirdo loners who'd prefer to live on our own and watch sport uninterrupted .
I thought it was more flattering that they thought SEN listeners might have partners.

They've got divorce ads now?

Sandwich them between ads for funeral homes and jeez you've got a cheery 45 seconds waiting at the traffic lights in peak-hour...

Did anyone notice during the run home today, Allan said why he loved working at sen so much. He said cos nobody at the station has a big ego.

I almost drove off the road. Of course the person with the biggest ego at the station wouldn't notice others ego, because his is the biggest of them all.

This is supposed to be a sports station. Monday , Marko comes on to talk golfs weekend results with no mention of the USPGA tour event which had up to 10 Aussies with 2 finishing in the top 15, it was rain delayed, but he still could have said something , maybe even about Aaron Badderleys best round for a long time, but no nothing. They give Shield scores , but only do Victoria , when other states have interesting scores. Its not good enough.
MG, why do we need a stupid quiz before 7, just gives goofy Gaze more of a chance to show what a goose he is.

Has anybody ever actually heard/read a good thing about Maher?

The Jason Bennett bit I agree with..

..and I see where Jbrown is going to be on Nova, wish he was on here.

Might have to listen to him in the mornings (no bias of course!:p)

Finey knocking Nigel mansell on chasing birdies. Saying he made golf uncool. Stfu finey! You're dumping on my childhood hero brah! He gave the SA Open the most publicity the tournament's ever got when he participated.

If Nigel mansell had a spot on SEN, he'd be the best golfer on there. He had he best moustache to ever appear on wheel of fortune as well.

The moment of truth: ratings time :D
Not much change, but I've just noticed that SEN does ok in the 40-to-54 age-group

This must mean I'm going insane. At work we (unfortunately) have Gold 104 on in the store and the song from Harf Time comes on, here we go for one more time...

It gets to the particular part in the song and in my head I'm thinking "For the Foton Tunland Ute...." :D
