Even on Friday when he was at his kids inter school sports day he was very good. Unlike most yanks he doesn't take himself too seriously.

I've found with Steve and guys like Ro Ro. They express themselves in such a way that even if you don't agree with them (sometimes often), you're not annoyed by their opinion or presence. Unlike knuckleheads Smith, Ralph, Denham, etc.

..it got to Billy eventually coming from Geelong each morning. Not sure if Bill is still in Geelong now is marriage is over.

I'm amazed Billy lasted so long doing breakfast. He wouldn't be short of cash, which makes me think the money was bigger than we'd imagine. On the other hand, perhaps he's got the old hard work ethic of "a job's a job, and I've got a big house, 4 kids and a missus to pay for."
Then again, maybe he liked getting out of Geelong, and probably spent half the week in Melbourne.

Personally? It'll be interesting to see which station I'll listen to from 1-3pm. Maher has an opportunity to re-invent himself and produce a good, light program. Clare Bowditch replaces Richard Stubbs at the ABC. She has less experience, and I'm not sure she'll produce as good a program as Richard.

Yep, and 3aw have always had a fair drop-off in that slot, so they might be make some inroads.

The good thing about Steve, is that he's polite.

I think it's because he is American, he does take extra measures to set up any opinions he wants to express.

Rather than crudely stating his opinion, and expressing it like it's fact, he acknowledges the other party, acknowledges any possible flaw in his own argument.

Simply put, he's open minded which is a rarity on talk back.

This the most baffling move of the lot to me. Harf and KB can hold their own as presenters in their own right. They've kept KB's show but why water down Harf's role by pairing him with Marco?

I always liked the Ox/Leach combo but why not bring them back for the drive show where they were successful before? Marco can stay so long as he sticks to his golf shows (Chasing Birdies and The Clubhouse) and guest appearances on KBs show etc.
