Gloriously awful call on Finey's show last night. Some bloke going on about how there must be some sort of unfair trick to percentage rather than the generally accepted calculation because sides with lower totals for and against had higher percentage.

I know motor racing isn't the most popular sport amongst those that read this thread. However, I heard this on SEN, so I'm posting here. Tim Hodges, a clown who's with Schibeci on On the Grid, said something like "Vettel's the fastest qualifier ever...better than Ayrton Senna". Syrton Senna the the fastest, most ballistic driver in all of motorsport. Tim, you d*******!*

bit of both tbh. listened more to libbi gorr though. was quite enjoyable and relaxing before 18 holes.
Only 3 more days of Schibeci thank christ. How many stuff ups will he have when he goes to report on the games. He will have the gold medal as 3rd place a few times i bet.

I don't understand how someone who can't read a rundown sheet and knows absolutely nothing about sport besides a tiny bit of afl and motor racing gets a gig on SEN. What's his background? Is he a journalist? I don't get it! It's bad enough that he reads the news but to have fill in for Harf is beyond stupid. I could do so much better with zero radio experience and at least I'm knowledgeable on a wide range of sport. He must be mates with management? Otherwise I just don't get it!

now its just a career for mates of mates. footy players are a classic example. because the game is continuously evolving with some many interpretations, all you need is to have played the game and you can sprout crap and get a gig.
journos who make mistakes simply laugh at their errors. schbecci has become more famous for his stuff ups than his work. pickers and hutchy have immortalised him. notice how sen presenters will always preface their "scathing" statements with "look, i love the guy, he's a great player/bloke..."

Don't think he's a journalist. I know that he does voice-over work at the MCG for the footy and cricket.
I think he's another one of the SEN presenters that is seen as making up for a lack of genuine all-round sporting knowledge and regular English mishaps by coming across as a "good bloke". He appears to know very little about most sports, but is conversational in footy and seems like a friendly, genuine bloke that would work any shift asked of him by the station, so he gets by. I have no doubt that most people on here would be more knowledgeable all-round, but will never have anything to show for it.

I would say that a job for anyone on here , to work any shift at Sen , would be there for the taking.
So how come nobody on here has given them a call ?
I realize that not every person is going to love each presenter , but if some had their way , each shifts hosts would be tossed out for some reason or other.
But if you genuinely know that you will do a better job of informing all of us about "all sports" , then what are you waiting for?

Sen overnights is a disaster again. When Darren Parkin isn't on they haven't got enough knowledge to conduct a sports show. Scott Cooney also says "we'll endeavour to look in to that" whenever they have a sports question and they never do. No clue!
They pay shit, thats why you get people like Schibeci, who's a glorified ground announcer
