Does anyone else find this speculative trade/draft segment extremely boring? I find trades and drafts boring at the end of the season let alone now while we still have footy going on.
Aaaah, SPOT ON!! I thought it was just me, because I've mentioned it before on here somewhere and had little response.

It's spending air-time on kids, many of whom will never make it. What's the point of that? Go back several years, and they might as well have wasted time talking about me when I was playing VFA under-18s, i.e. a complete was of air-space :D

If the segments or shows were called "speculation about teenagers who might not ever play AFL", the topic might be seen as what it is.

I can't believe the air-time Shifter Sheehan gets around draft time, and I REALLY can't believe there's a show about it on Ch 9 on Sundays. Ok, Hutchy's show is a little different, but still. I don't get it. I suppose it gives supporters of weaker clubs some hope

I have a vague interesting in the top few pics, especially if they might come to Richmond, :D but that's it.

Dan Lonergan is a decent broadcaster. Better than anything SEN has to offer.

If I was SEN I would be very concerned, especially as they are Melbourne centric. This station goes national and is going to throw cash at the AFL rights.

There is only room for one of these type of sport stations in this country, given our small demographic

I was going to give them a try, but the web stream cuts out after only a few seconds and they aren't on TuneIn Radio either. I'm not going to buy a digital radio just to listen to EON sport, when it's an unknown quantity.

Hopefully their online platform improves by the time the English Premier League starts, because EON are taking Talksports feed and Talksport will be blocked while games are on, which is a shame as Talksport is reliable and EON can't last more than a few seconds it seems without buffering.

Have you tried their app

Hi everyone,
Hope you can all find a way to hear what modern and fresh sounding Sports Radio is all about and give EON Sports RADIO a chance
Seems alot of you here keep bringing up the same things , same old same old voices , no new ideas to much AFL and alot of going through the motions sounding hosts at SEN just happy to pick up a pay check and rock up each day.
I think a few of you will agree SEN has dropped the ball and thats human nature with no competition and now EON sports radio is here to pick up the ball and run with it.
Give EON a go and you might find yourself never logging onto forums to complain about Sports Radio again

EON is only available on digital platform right? Therefore those without this facility are unable to listen, especially in their motor vehicles. There will be complaints.

Otherwise what you say makes sense. May I ask what your role at EON is?

I'll be giving it a go. But as far as sports radio goes. I think they're like Melbourne Heart/City. Victory were there first and the public are familiar or attached to them. Heart/City has to go the extra mile just to get within range of keeping up. I think EON will have to wait a fair while before they've make inroads into SEN.
