haha yes i was a guard in a centre's body, somewhat like muggsy bogues in shaq's frame. i loved to penetrate and drive the lanes. Defensively i loved doubling down and playing hard lock down tight D, be it fronting or from behind

That article Ben posted said that Hutchie and Pickering are gonna have a show together saturday morning. What about saturday spotlight, one of the best shows on the station? Why split up a great combination that have good chemistry together and get Hutcchie in there? ****in piss poor.

If SEN break up their saturday combination of Pickering + Allen, it really would prove that whoever is in charge has no idea at all how to run a station!!....In fact, just hiring Hutchie in the first place is a bad blue IMO.....he really is a goose..

A) Craig Hutchison got sacked for a reason, not many people in the public like him. Would be a silly decision for SEN to hire him.

B) Saturday spotlight is one of the best shows on SEN, and would be ruined if you split the pairing of Allen/Pickering. Agree with the previous comment that they have great chemistry and it is very enjoyable to listen to their show.

C) Please do not replace this show with Hutchy as a co-presenter with Pickering

I can see why they are doing it
Even if you hate Hutchy , dont you think that SEN is all about AFL and thats the most important thing for them in a few weeks time when the season starts.
You are talking about replacing Allan a golf professional who does a little bit of talking about some sports with a reporter that even though people might hate will bring attention to SEN especially before the AFL games each Saturday.

I agree that SS is probably the best program at the station.

I would guess that the decision would be made to try and capture the football listeners early on a Saturday and then try and keep them all day.

Mark Allen is very good......just because he is a golfer doesn't mean he doesnt know about other sports......Just because Hutchy is about footy, wont make people listen if they dont like him.....those are the reasons we dont listen to AW......cant stand Rex....
same will go for Hutchy.....simply dont listen to something or someone we dont like.....others will be the same.......so I come back to my original statement......a big mistake IMO hiring Hutchy...a bigger mistake breaking up Pickers and Allen...IMO

pickers and allen did not do sat.mornings last footy season.

Amazing piece of radio that was. The way he described what happened on that flight during and afterwards was amazing.

I wish I heard it, if only SEN weren't so slack and put it up as a podcast :/

I would have liked Pickers and Allen to stay on as a combo, but maybe SEN wanted someone with more AFL knowledge, which is a shame. The banter between those two can't be replaced, and while Hutchy may be able to share his knowledge, it won't be anywhere near as fun or laid back.

Unless you are Hutchy, (are you?) there really is no need to get personal , just because you dont agree.....I called hutchy a goose not you....so by all means give your opinion, but just remember I'm entitled to my opinion as well......p.s......won't go to AW, just wont listen to any radio, if Hutchy is on......so SEN will have lost a couple of listeners, maybe others as well..

This website forum is full of examples that the Sen Program Mgr Mark Johnston has no idea . Why are you surprised he doesnt know how to run a station after reading this forum for the past few months ,it is obvious.
