Yes, but its not the beer that is the problem. Its the attitudes of the people that drink it excessively that is the problem.

I actually think the segment promotes the drinking of beer for its taste, and not to merely get pissed.

People need to take responsibility. I worked in pubs and clubs for some time and it's joke that bar staff and security can be held responsible for the actions of their patrons.

I have a real issue with buck passing and putting the blame on others. I ma pretty sure every person i ever served a beer to knew that if they had a few of them they were going to end up getting gassed.

People need to be responsible for their own actions and quit blaming others.

It kills me when i hear people ring up during beer o'clock and say that the segment is irresponsible. It's informative and entertaining and if someone tells me that beer o'clock is the reason they got a gut full and did something stupid then they are kidding themselves.

Someone remind me what were the circumstances of SEN sacking Beva? I think it's the fact that SEN were coy about it when it happened that callers ring in to annoy the announcers.

I agree - the message is "this beer is good for the taste" - totally anathema to what binge drinking is about. Its a fun and informative infotainment - they reviewed "Cobra" one day which is that non-alcoholic beer which they said tasted pretty good

I tuned in just after 10.30 last night and heard Finey having a crack at a group of idiots that had rung in.He then made an offer that if one of them rang him today at work and dobbed in who his mates were then he'd give them a signed Aussie cricket bat [something like that].I wonder if any of the bogans took up the offer and dobbed in the mates.

Can someone please explain the appeal of listening to two complete knobs screaming into the microphone every two seconds? Seriously. Each week I give them a go but can only last about 1 minute before switching off.

I don't see why Finey has such a problem with idiots calling up about the Bruce Eva answer....
As far as i'm concerned these people just want to get their 2 seconds of fame so an easy way to stop them would be to do the following.

Finey says,
'Hello want do you think the answer is?'
Respondent says
'ummmm ____'
'Sorry you are dumped mate, next caller'

That's what the 7 second delay is for to dump idiots like that! If he does this idiots will get the message and not bother with it.
