But how much of it is based on the news items he reads when he does the sports segment for Channel 7?

Had to cringe this morning when they were interviewing Jesper Olsen (?) from the Manchester United Soccer Schools, and Tim actually blurted out something like "Hey Jesper, stop stealing our kids from the AFL"...I know he was halk-joking, but embarassing coming from what is meant to be an all-sports radio station....

What about Billy this morning doing an Ad for Darcy's new pub the Precinct, how it's so good before and after the Footy at the G..... He forgets to mention Club Colors are NOT welcome.

You're not allowed to wear clothes that identify your AFL club [i.e club jumper, club polo shirt ..etc].I heard someone ring up Francis and Ox a couple of weeks ago.I think he won a dinner there from SEN and went before a game only to be told he couldn't enter due to his club shirt he was wearing. They said they'd ring Darcy and find out about it.

I thought only Poms did this type of thing.

ah ok thanks.

hmm, interesting.probably in fear of potential fights breaking out between opposition fans. its human nature, war that is (or conflict here), it will happen, and its not just soccer that gets it. only difference is the degrees of conflict.

Is it done so they can weed out the bogans?

Or is it done for another reason?

Luke Darcy's pub sounds like an 'eltist' pub for toffs ...

I wouldn't go to that dump if you paid me ..

FFS We live in Australia, not England or Scotland where u can get stabbed if u go to the wrong pub in the wrong colours ...

What is wrong with Darcy, he comes across as such a boring twit on Channel 10 as well.

I sometimes go to the football with a friend and his wife and she wears a club polo top .
What would Darcy like her to go topless in the main bar so she can have a drink after the game with her husband.
Shouldnt he be advertising his pub as the place to go for those not going to the football instead.

Franklin must read this website or he got a kick up the backside.
Funny how last night he was all over the IPL and gave lots of scores and he even didnt bother with the Sth African Rugby this week.
Mind you he did go a bit funny when a caller asked him about why he wasnt on the midnight sport on weeknights and he tried to make a joke that they couldnt afford him.
Some people seem to have a hard time dealing with the fact they are replaced because others are just able to do a job better .
