Honestly, after having Dr Turf on MG how can SEN possibly go back to Brownless??
It is hard to understand the appeal of Brownless, but he does to a number of people. I would prefer Dr. Turf on SEN full time over Billy, but it wont happen.

Latest radio ratings in.

The Run Home now the 5th most listened to program between 4pm and 7pm. Sensational effort by Ox and Francis in one of the most competitive slots.

Great result for SEN across the board, great to see. The station deserves good ratings as I know a lot of people who listen, yet the ratings dont always reflect it.
thay should get Mark Doran off
I like Richo, but every now and then he comes across as a complete yuppy.
For example this morning when talking about the twilight Grand Final idea (and aren't they flogging that today?), he asked people to respond to a poll "Would you still go to the Grand Final if it was a twilight game?"
Err umm most of us don't get to go to the Grand Final every year (even if our teams are playing) to "still go" next year.
has he harped on about athletics much? even tho i said in earlier post that MG's been great ive prob listened to 1 hour/day tops (its still > than their usual hosts).
Not that I've heard.
Speaking of athletics, managed to hear about 15 minutes of the olympic show last night. Dave Culbert is the best expert commentator on the station. Pity that Matt Thompson was on with him.

Doran interviewing Ian Johnson from Ch 7 about their habit of cutting straight to the news as soon as the siren goes on Sunday afternoons.
Johnson explained that sometimes the match just goes too long which means they don't have time to do any post match stuff (interviews, song etc). Doran meekly accepts this.
FFS Mark. If he gives you this sort of stupid answer ask him why they stick so many ads in the middle of the game which makes the game go so long then ???
You're meant to be a journalist not some fool who believes whatever he is told.
Just because he treats you like an idiot it doesn't mean that you should let him treat the whole audience as idiots.

If you run that interview in your head with other SEN hosts, I can think of only few of them that would have pushed him harder on that question though. Frank, Finey maybe... the rest are too caught up in the industry.

I was waiting for him to say "yes Mr Johnson... no Mr Johnson..."

Last Friday some caller rang in giving a case to why West Coast would beat Essendon and the reasons were the bigger bodies of the Eagles would be an advantage on the wet surface and conditions of the Telstra Dome and Essendon were due for a loss. Doran agreed with those reasons and "I can hear what you're saying."
