Doran said that St Kilda don't want to finish 8th because either Geelong, Hawthorn or the Bulldogs will finish 1st. Apparently 1st plays 8th in the finals.

Can you believe that Doran still went with that after he got a txt saying its 1 v4. Fancy not knowing the finals set up staggering to say the least. Doran apologises and says ''I guess I've been asleep at the wheel''. Yes for 4 looooooong years now Very Very amauterish some aspects of SEN.

Watching the news on TV tonight, I see weekly KB regular Santo Caruso from Melbourne Sportsbooks speaking about the murder of his mother yesterday. Recognised the name and voice right away.

Shit . I'd heard about the murder, didn't put 2 and 2 together. All reports are that the 74yo husband did it, well the cops arrested him anyway. Apparently he stayed with Santo the night before, so maybe things weren't happy in the family home . But Santo is quoted talking about an apparent robbery, so who knows.

Melbourne Sports Books is an institution in Melbourne.

What a pro. Starts his shift at midday but he's all too tuckered out to do some simple viewing (psssst - research).

If this final eight stuff is as it really went down, then Snoran has hit another very low ebb for SEN radio. This guy is as amateurish as it gets, and I for one will not listen to any Olympics reporting (word used loosely) from this gyp on principle alone.

Seriously, you try to listen to SEN to keep up to date on sports and hopefully learn a thing or two, and yet they have some people that just don't know jack.

Speaking of tennis, I heard him say Roger was going for his 7th straight title this year (he's won the last 5).

Also heard him last week talking about how Melbourne Storm won the premiership in their first year (won their second year).

Small petty stuff I know, but there is just so much he gets wrong or doesn't know.

A couple of callers rang up and told Doran how they got on Marat Safin at odds of $200-ish and $500-ish at the start of Wimbledon and Doran replied by saying that he wouldn't have put any money on him.

Probably because Doran told everyone that Safin wasn't playing a few weeks ago.

If Federer wins his 6th (or 7th in Doran universe) successive Wimbledon, will this be the last of grass court tennis? One player has been too dominant so it needs to be changed.
