I usually have the radio on during the day/overnight because either at uni or in bed, so no access to a television.
During Olympics time, I usually alternate between SEN and ABC.

Oh dear. Why do I have to keep straightening you out, Ben. First it was ad nauseam name dropping of who you know, and then minor corrections of others posts (Lowther/Louder) and now we've been enlightened as to what your radio listening activities in bed. Even a little of that's way too much information in this thread, unless, off course, you actually play for the Vixens. Consider yourself chastised. Now back to that studying I told you about.

i heard ox and francis discussing asking last night whether there was a difference in chinese food between here and there. isn't it commonly known that the shit you can in westernised chinese "restaurants" is basically crap? i mean lemon chicken, mongolian beef, dim sims!!!! crap.

i only heard 1 reference to RL in the 15 mins i heard. something about how teams have momentum, set after set of six and then the other team scores.

i think the way to says the score is very RL as well? aust lead by 1 goal to nil (usually aust lead 1-0). - pedantic i know.

He was being facetious. He knew exactly that was in Shanghai, he just wanted to make the point about the air pollution in Shanghai compared to Beijing.

I don't think he was being facetious. Shanghai probably produces a fair bit of pollution too, its just that Beijing is surrounded by a mountain range so the air doesn't disperse very well. LA has the same problem.

Got in the car at 8 this morning news is on, fair enough. Then weather and road conditions, Fair enough. Watto's crapped on about "Money" Bill Williams, O.K. (starting to get cheesed off). Then they played a scratchy grab out of an interview that I could not hear properly not once but twice and tried to get people to ring up about, it what a crock. Acouple of blokes tried to question the context and relevence of the quote but were moved along. Still waiting for some footy. But wait we are talking with a youngster about to make his debut on the MCG tonight, great some footy I said to my mate then they started talking to Oscar, Billies kid.
I have been listening to SEN since day one and this morning was the biggest load of crap since day one!!!!!!!!

You are right of course and that is not what I am saying. When people rang in to question Tim and Andy's (expressed) opinion that the rugby guy had no principles they moved them along post haste. Football should be given a decent airing considering it is the 150th anniversary round this weekend I did not hear it mentioned once in 30 minutes between ads and rugby and Billies son.

is it really a big deal, 150 years of footy? Almost every week there's a theme (although i agree that 150 years >>> other themes). Maybe there's not much footy to talk about, or perhaps before 8am they did do previews etc. Nothing worse than journos/media making a story bigger than it really is when it's a slow news week.
