I listed to Richo and Harf for a bit this morning talking about the 1st round losers getting $20,000 for the Australian Open and Harf was bagging them saying they don't deserve anything etc...

Then they got a call from Kevin Andersen of South Africa who was listening, he qualified for the main draw this year and Harf couldn't backflip quick enough. It was good to listen to and then towards the end of their chat Richo and Harf were calling him 'their man'.
GOLD :D:thumbsu:

I think Tony Schubecci did a great Job filling in the holes here and there as the regulars had a break, hope he enjoys his holiday and the SEN management use him more on air in 2009.

Roy & HG on MMM from 4pm weekdays now kills the SEN guys.

I'll be sticking with The Run Home thanks.

What a surprise, Patrick Smith is back and has had 2 massive cracks at 2 major sports.

Apparently cycling is no good to watch and tennis is a social sport. He is a wank of the highest order.

To be honest I tend to agree (and I feel ill saying that).

Cycling is a bit like motor racing for me IMO but I understand how plenty of people like it.

And from what I heard what he said about tennis, the question was asked whether the Oz Open will increase participation in that sport in Australia. He made the point that tennis in Oz is a bit like the Melb Cup carnival. They get lots of social crowds for the two weeks its on but after that its largely forgotten.

Also The Run Hime >>>> Roy and HG (they had their day in the sun about 5 years ago.)

Snoran opens his program with his new song, then spends the 1st couple of minutes talking about Sav Rocca playing in the Superbowl. He even said he was going to talk to Anthony about whether he was going to fly over to watch Sav.

He really is a fool.

Please if you think that SEN has no say whatsoever in who or what goes on 24 hrs of the day on their radio station you are even less clued up than James W.

maybe not

It took him until 12.21 to apologise for the mistake.

He said he went in to a meeting with 5 minutes to go in the game and the Eagles were in front. When he came out he hadn't heard the result.

Please, get rid of this fool

That mistake is so bad its not funny. How can he not know the result from a match where 2 Australians are playing in it? A meeting 5 minutes before the show is a poor excuse. It takes all of 3 seconds to find out the final result. That was embarassing, as is the Good Oil using the theme song from another SEN show.

WTF
Has this bozo been on another planet all morning ?
I don't follow NFL but even I knew Sav wasn't going to play in the Superbowl.

Doran is an idiot. I was following the game on nfl.com and wanted to let a Geelong mate know that Benny was going to the Super Bowl, but of course I absolutely waited until the game was over. I would have thought anyone would have done the same.

Would be like some telling a Bayern Munich mate in 1999 that they had won the Champions League final cos they were leading by a goal with a minute or two to go

I sent him a SMS telling him that Ben had won and not SAV and calling him a fool.

I also rang him about the song.

He said it's a perfect song isn't it. I said it may be perfect, but it's already used by another show on the station. He said he found out about that on the weekend. So clearly he has never listened to OWAAT, and when he was told they already that song, he has still chosen to use it on his show.

A meeting 5 minutes before the show?

The game finished at 10:30, surely he would have heard a news bulletin or something like that.

No, he went in to a meeting with 5 minutes to go in the game. Even if he come out of the meeting 1 minute before he went on the air, I'm sure there are lots of people in the corridors at SEN that could have told him the result.

I would have thought that about 2 secs after he messed up the producer would have either typed the correction on the screen for him or had a word in his ear to tell him it was Benny and not Sav that is in the Superbowl.

I don't know about the producer, but I can assure you he got a text message from me straight away. The problem was he went straight to an interview with Kevin Gosper. He obviously didn't want to make a fool of himself in front of him, so waited for the interview to finish before he apologised and announced his mistake.

Perhaps the producer was pissing him/herself laughing and thought it'd be more enjoyable letting Doran look like a fool for even longer.

All he had to do was to go on to the home page of something like the Hun,Age or Fox Sports website and the winning result would've been right in front of his eyes.Surely the score was mentioned in the news bulletin just seconds before he went to air.
