God you people are not wrong about Macquaire news. The worst is the guy who reads around 1-2 in the morn. He is ****en dreadful, he cannot pronounce anything for shit and sometimes says words like a yank (I know I'm being pedantic but your the news reader in aus, not US FFS)

Heard that as well raised a chuckle.I only listen to SEN News now only noteworthy content on the station!Funny just heard Leach defend Friday Nights game,gee Sen presenters have difficulty with club bias and their roles as presenters

Yeah getting a bit tired of the bias, I think francis and co better concentrate on being presenter not spokesman for the st kilda football club

Leach is a self-righteous, pompous git. I heard him say a couple of years ago that he went from supporting Chelsea to Arsenal because he didn't like the way Chelsea fans looked down their noses and talked down to away fans.

caller yesterday said that st kilda shouldnt blame etihad for reiwoldts injury, and that they should be looking at their own player management. went on to add that dermie said roo was jumping off the "other" leg when he came back on, and grimaced/jumped up and down on the spot - obviously in pain.

leach didnt agree and defended st kilda. he said that he'd follow the advice of a sports medicine person over (to paraphrase) the average joe (ie callers and media). during the st kilda defense he also said this:

"....and I know i go for st kilda"

see, this is the problem. too many people in the media cant hide or put bias aside. if bias doesnt influence someones thought process they wouldnt have to declare who they barrack for!!

i watch a lot of USA sports, they dont say "yeah i know i root for XYZ". they criticise and analyse objectively.

after hearing this exchange i thought of the last few posts.

Well, speaking of bias and criticising objectively - it might be time for you to look in your own backyard instead of cherry picking comments to suit your own argument.

The caller said Riewoldt should be blaming St Kilda as he was hobbling on his ankle before his injury and he should have been taken off. Leach said, "Well you are just basically guessing that this was the cause as you are as much a sports medicine expert as I am."

Leach is right. The caller hadn't examined Riewoldt. He is not a sports medicine expert. He didn't know the extent of Riewoldts ankle injury prior. For all anyone knows he could have stubbed his toe !!!!!

The caller was basically putting his own hypotheses together and then trying to convince people it was fact.

Leach also said it doesn't matter who is to blame (if anyone at all), the fact of the matter is Roewoldt will be out for 3 months plus and nothing is going to change that.

Should Leach and Schwartz agree with every caller no matter how ludicrous or unprioven the claims are ?

It was a bit more than that. I think it was against a working class club and all the Chelsea fans started doing stuff like waving money at the working class fans of the other club. OK not a crime but imagine supporters of say Carlton doing it to the Bulldogs supporters.

He's MTR's (ex-3MP) sports "expert".....maybe they should have done what he did last week and stay there filling in for Glenn Ridge (who was doing Targa Tasmania) on weekend afternoons. Oh well....

SJP is the biggest fool on the radio, but it's still good radio. People are taking the piss and just blatantly trolling him and listening to him back pedal on issues and defend St Kilda to the hilt are hilarious. He will get fired up about St Kilda at the drop of the hat and gets sucked in easily.
