Agree about the horse racing. Its the time of year when my listening to the station is minimised. Also agree that on the weekends they should go for a more general sports flavour like the ABC does, only not hosted by Matt Thompson, I don't think there's a worse host on any radio station, when he moved to Macquarie news I thought his time on SEN was going to be minimised but no such luck. Ridiculous when they do have genuine talent like Matt Granland around.

Good call by Huddo on the Grand Final, its a shame he is away for the replay, going to the Commonwealth games in India.

If you're after some quality journalism, tune into Matt Thompson's typically hysterical and over the top reportage from the Comm Games. Hoping he meets a nice Indian lass and moves there for good so i never have to hear from or of him again.
Like I said, it's no coincidenc that SEN's ratings improved right after Thompson was 'moved over' to MTR

Well, not exactly (oops). He was "promoted" to the Macquarie News room as (mostly) their sports reporter when MTR started. MTR and SEN are in 'car-hoots' together, so they use the same news service. This move pretty much means he's no longer a regular feature on SEN programs, but he still pops up every now and then from "on location" when a big story is brewing. Unfortunately, I have a hunch he'll be doing a lot of fill-in work on SEN over summer.
I reckon Peakey's building to something. I reckon he's gunna snap and go into a fit of rage!! Hopefully, Howard will keep baiting him.

Yeah I liked the story about how he got some abusive text messages then he texted a long winded reply back offering to discuss the facts in a mature manner and didn't get a response. He chalked it up to the texter's cowardice but i don't think anyone would want to have a 'mature discussion' on stephen peake's view of the world.
