what do ANY of you people actually add?
how about a week - even a day - of giving your ideas, how you'd do it better. i'd love to read that.
you all talk like you're savvy when it comes to putting together a sports radio station.
what are your commercial interests - how would you make sponsors happy? do you know what goes on, what they ask for?

put your thinking caps on. become positive. you become the PD at sen. what do you do?
god, how i wish there was some positive stuff on this forum.

and before it becomes a slanging match....i read this forum once a fortnight, sometimes less. sometimes i become so disgusted by the same old voices screaming the same old negative things i go away for months.

why do i read it? there used to be some guy who put up transcripts of conversations dr turf had on air with kb. i liked those. and, because i don't always get to listen to stephen j peak, i like to catch up on what he's been doing.

From my experiences this seems to be a balanced forum where we also take the p155 out of SEN presenters, it's nothing personal just fun stuff most of the time. Isn't the whole point of forums and threads like this to have a discussion, or am I just missing something because I thought it was to have a discussion!

Also, most people on this forum also, do have plenty of positive things to say. I know many people are like myself and are big fans of Finey.

Yeah I'm a big fan of Finey, his analysis of the game is as good as any other special commentator out there. I know his roster is pretty full already, but I would love to see him added to the crunch time line up. I really enjoy his Sunday analysis with Robert Shaw.

(Don't forget my earlier criteria of ensuring ANA presenters being able to read at higher than a fifth grade level. They are seriously, seriously bad at reading those articles. Just saying.)

Something tells me BlackMug might just be one of those presenters. Because really they are the only people on the station that cop a battering in this thread. BlackMug seems awfully defensive of the station. Are you a relation of Barry Quick?

I tend to agree with BlackMug.

For example, Francis Leach is leaving SEN at the end of the year. His timeslot is probably the most important at the station yet his replacement has been barely discussed on here.

Instead, I read a few pages of how a news-reader mispronounced a few words on the all important midnight to 6am shift.

Without a doubt station mamagement does read this thread. Maybe some quality suggestions may even get heard and talked about where it counts.

I think I did see a few posts about having Mark Allen co-host with the ox on The Run Home as there's good chemistry between them.

Most of us agree, so there was not much to add.

You need to go back and have another read. I could quote a lot more posts, but the system won't allow it.

So, I was trying to think of a suitable replacement for Francis, like you all have, taking into account as many possible factors, and no one instantly sprang to mind already at the station. Thought of options from other stations...nothing, although the suggestion I heard today of Chad Cornes teaming up with Ox was funny. Continued further thought, the only option I could think of was Ed Wyatt...I would be cool with him, any of you think he could work?

Ed is a legend - can do everything and has a great voice for radio. Mark Allen has grown on me and him and Ox seem to have good chemistry.

I agree that Frank can be sanctimonious at times - seems a curious time to go to Granstand

Having read some of the positive comments regarding Ed, I was inspired to see if I could think of another option, possibly even better than Ed. We need someone who is a known radio performer, someone who definitely knows his footy, someone who knows sports other than footy, someone who could easily fit into the role Francis played, someone who doesn't have a gig at the moment. My nomination for SEN's first pick in the 2011 Radio draft...step forward Sam Pang.

You know who I'm talking about, right? If there are any xenophobes here, don't be put off by the fact that he's Vietnamese (or Vietnamese background), if I recall correctly, years ago, he was asked to try-out for Collingwood, a legit try-out, not some token AFL PR racial appreciation thing.

I know the ladies and gentleman out there in SEN land occasionally read this thread, but I would hope they definitely consider this option
World Cup Fever was great, and he did a podcast for the Tour which was also very good. He knows his stuff, and has a comedy background, so that puts him above Francis

They should get Teo and Dash to do The Run Home, maybe extend it by a few hours, 4pm to Midnight, heck, they may aswell just go on till 6am. I would never turn the radio off.

Have often wondered just why Howard Lee is on GoS....he adds very very little to the overall show, and hardly has anything to say...and sounds disinterested most times..

On the other hand, I think the other Howard (Kotter?) and SJP work really well together on Selection Dissection with Finey....this Howard isn't frightened to have his say in a conversation and is a genuine contributor to the show..

SJP is a classic!!..his weird and wacky ways are just...well, just so unbelievable, that it is compulsary listening!!....indescribable actually!!

Mark from Bacchus Marsh was on last night and Teo asked him if that twitter was his and he said no it's not his , that is a fake one that someone has made.

He then said that he had joined up to twitter a few years ago but didn't like it much so didn't post on it.
