Doran really is showing signs of slacking off. He obviously doesn't know much about sport and doesn't even seem to do the research before he interviews his guests.

Then there's that segment where a caller practically runs the show answering calls and now the 1pm-2pm replays.

The bloke asked him how he thought Kostya Tzsyu would go against Floyd Mayweather Jr, because his boxing style was similar. Doran just mumbled something about how there had been word for a while about a comeback then went to the next caller.

SEN needs guys who know sport better to discuss things like that, more than the series of "presenters" they have at the moment.

KB can be annoying, but he knows his stuff outside footy. Beva was a sporting almanac, as are Frank and Finey. Also impressed with Brett Phillips. Need a few more of these types in prime time for my liking.

BTW I heard the overnight show last night with Mather and James Willoughby - that guy is an absolute gun and needs to be given more work. A very professional presenter, and has a great knowledge and passion of all sports - he spoke like he knew about NBA, NBL, A League, EPL. Compared to most presenters on SEN who can talk only about AFL and cricket, that is something.

Couldn't agree more - I couldn't sleep last night and thought he was really good! Is he new at SEN? Anyone know anything about his background?

With Xmas coming up, hopefully some guys like James can get some air time and get w***ers like Snoran off the air.

That's ambitious. A caller rings up and says something intelligent about boxing, and then asks Doran "what do you think?"

Bring back Beva. Only he and KB know anything about boxing in the history of SEN.

Peaky and Howard Leigh know their stuff when it comes to boxing - should have paid one of them to come into the studio during Doran's show to field some boxing questions.

Willoughby was on again last night - another impressive performance from the man.

Now these two are just making up the numbers
............half the phone callers are telling them about sport and the callers sound like they know more.

Dont think anyone should be saying Francis Leach or Mark Doran are not any good before they have heard these two dead beats on at the moment.

Fair go they are only filling in because the station has a policy at the moment ( for the less important time slots )
A policy of will you work for nothing and then after you tell me that ,we will worry about your talent !

I think Slade would have got the job because his father was a TV newsreader going back a few years

I hope you like Daniel Harford because you are going to be hearing alot more of him on SEN in 2008

i was a massive harf fan in the early casual fridays days and also when he was with richo on the 7-12am sun shift, very funny and also knew what he was talking about

lately though i cant stand him, he seems to be playing more of the "presenter" role which takes away some of his humour and it just doesnt suit him imo, when he is not hosting he is more himself and is way better to listen to

Harford is more of a larrikin, I don't think he works very well as a pure presenter. Good value in discussions, but he's just not suited as a Schibeci-style anchor.

brothers ive been reading all you stuff about replays and i agree ive banned fm stations they keep playing replays of the same songs that is weak they should just play a song once even if its good it should never be replayed who wants to hear something twice

Gee the "coverage" of the pre-season and rookie drafts isn't that flash today. A minute ago I was reading the first 3 rounds of the draft off the AFL website and KB and Matt Granland were talking about how Ash Arrowsmith hadn't been taken yet. He went mid 2nd round.

Peter Mecardo is quite good. He used to do sports overnights on SEN on weekends a year ago i think....

Plus he also used to do or is still doing the AFL podcasts.

I turned the radio off last night.....the way Milney was carrying on was so damned annoying....yells and screams all the time...way to far over the top for mine.....spoils the show IMO......he needs a relaxing pill to calm him down, too hypo...
