tony schebecci is a terrible fill in on the run home.

Is it his vague knowledge and simply just trying to keep himself 'up to date' with the news of the day that annoys you? What's he been like?

Also heard Peaky and Zantuck were on the radio this arvo, anyone know what that show is about?

schebecci seems like a nice guy, but most of the time it sounds like he's thinking about how good his voice sounds, rather than what he says.

i was going to post it after hearing it myself but craig hutchinson wrote it in the paper today , but anyway it will be announced that bill brownless will be re signed again at sen.( wonder if Billy knows that one of his co hosts and a few other hosts over the last year at sen have had private requests of the mgt that he be moved on but thats another story ,)
so even though many of your posts here say how he drags down the sen morning show he isnt going to be leaving soon.
The other thing i wanted to pass on was that speaking to a few at sen they are very relieved that this new program manager his name is mark johnston is not going to be making many changes.
A few of the hosts were worried he might take his job seriously and look at the ratings and the time some of the hosts have had to improve them and then make changes but looks like he is going to be like the many program managers before him ,just happy to have a desk , phone, computer and an office and just keep to himself .
So you can all keep saying this one is no good and this one shouldnt be still there , but it isnt going to happen

as far zantuck goes can someone explain to me how this goose gets a gig on radio. sen must be hard at the moment ig geeks like this getting a permanent gig.

schibecci still thinks he's ground announcing at the mcg when he's in the studio and has limited knowledge imo

mark fine is the biggest douchebag cant stand the bloke

lol at mark allen having a whinge because there wasnt a closest to the pin tournament at the cricket give me a ********ing break

they need more news breakers to get something happening and not just wait around the fax machine waiting for press statements 2 days after big things happen

their talent is woeful and i smack myself in the head sometimes when im listening but you cant help tuning in

Zantuck is a wannabe comedian with vague sports knowledge, but he's found his niche on the Gladiators. Unfortunately he'll never be anything more than a cult figure on that show, and the only reason he gets a permanent gig is because it's summer. Peaky on the other hand is a star who should get more exposure.

Schibeci is a good bloke and gets along well with his guests, as well as being a good interviewer. His sports analysis skills may not be up to scratch though, but he's still a good presenter.

i cant beleive for like the 3rd straight week that crap legend series is on instead of born in the usa and out of all weeks its nfl playoff time load of rubbish

everyone do yourself a favour and listen to talksport when there is some english premier league on brillant coverage and treats sen like a pirate radio station

Zantuck & Schebecci are good when they are teamed with Peake for the gladiators of sport. Thats when they are at their best and funniest. On their own they are pretty weak.

You're right, SEN is made to sound amateur in comparison to other sports stations, but that's because they've been doing it for many years and there's more of a market for it. Also Stephen J Peak is a star and he carries Zantuck it must be said, which is ironic considering Zantuck always bags the ******** out of him.

talksport are like sen as they dont have premier league rights but instead have 2 guys in the studio and a heap of reporters at every game and cross when there is a goal scored and all that exciting stuff

sen hasnt had the footy for 2 seasons now and instead of doing something similar like on a sun arvo when there is 3 games they put on fitness shows

they got the footy this year which is good but they dont bring anything new to the table

Schibecci is good at late night where he doesn't have to carry the show, he is good at letting the callers speak and run the show but when he is filling in earlier in the day he doesn't have the ability to commentate on topics and keep viewers interested.

I like Eva much better than Mark Doran when they are each doing their feature interviews. Smarmy Mark Doran has to put on that fake easy listening voice and pretends he's John Everyman and has the condescending tone of a 60s midnight talkshow host that inverviews beatniks and poets. If you know what I mean.

Also, Brett Phillips is doing a great job on the 12-6am shift, give him a regular spot.

beautifully put. i agree his tone and manner is so fake it makes me ill.

Must say that World Sport Overnight is one of my favourite shows now, with Brett Phillips and One week at a time. I don't think I realised how useless Schebecci is and how the gladiators of sport is the biggest waste of 2 hours of radio.

Give Brett Phillips the job full time.

Also, its only been a week, but well done to Morning Glory, no cheap sexist jokes or ill informed descrimination. Hope it continues.
