lol, listened to all his shows this weekend, and Finey is really growing on me, and im realising why people like his show so much. He had some real gems tonight, when he lets it rip he doesnt hold back, even though sometimes i disagree.

There was one call though that asked:
Given St.K made finals under Thomas despite having similar injury list to this year, would you sack Lyon if they dont make the finals.

Seemed like a logical argument, but Finey spat the dummy. I think he and KB get the best talkback callers, even though KB is a tool for the rules, i think these two have the best knowledge and ability to communicate an argument to the callers.

I can't believe KB's restraint at times. He keeps fronting up and copping abuse for the rules everyday. Like his rules or not (I don't), you have to admire his conviction. He never really spits the dummy.

Interesting article. Don't know how accurate the ratings figures are, but internally their obviously happy with how they're going. They've always got plenters of callers, and plenty of advertisers have jumped on board.

Bit tough on KB. Callers always ring in to bag his hands in the back rule, he doesn't bring it up himself all that often. Stupid rule, but he does stick by his views.

Myself, I'd say their weakness is Mark Doran's show and strength is The Run Home.

To all you people whinging about certain SEN personalities..let me tell you just how lucky we are to have SEN...I have spent the last week on the GoldCoast, had a ball, BUT there was not one decent radio station or anything remotely like SEN..OMG..BORING!! I felt cut off from the sporting world! Overall the station is very good.. I would rather have SEN, warts and all, than not!! Stop being so negative..

Me too. I think Francis is a great interviewer, and he did plenty on his old arvo show. I think he has settled in really well with Ox on The Run Home now.

I have decided to make this my last post as i think you are all sick of me by now and after a while you get the feeling that Sen doesnt really care about feedback anyway and i am actually heading interstate for a while and wont be listening .
But if you are sick of hearing from me then that adds to my next point.

Mark Doran is buzzing because he feels that his ratings should be better and as many post here that he is not boring
Kevin Bartlett is buzzing because he thinks he still sounds fresh after 100 years on tv and radio
Billy Brownless is buzzing because he thinks everyone still likes his fart jokes
whoever looks after on yer bike is buzzing because he thinks cycling is good on the radio
Ox is buzzing because he thinks channel 7 is doing a top job in the footy tv coverage.
Get my point all the buzz is coming from those that think all is okay.
But like i said before you are sick of me why because change is needed to freshen things up.
Sen will go places if it can just get away from the thought that just because many started when it kicked off doesnt mean they have the god given right to be still at Sen now , it doesnt work that way.
A little tinkering and a few fresh changes and sen will be a big winner and not just with those who think they are buzzing

Gee, 3AW must be really struggling, cause they haven't had a change in their on-air line-up in about 10 years. Better get them to make some changes and quick to freshen up.

Sport is a passionate subject, and a station dedicated to talking about sport 24-7 is pushing shyte up hill in trying to satisfy everyone all of the time. I think they do far more things right than wrong.

they have their nice little niche but they arent going to make an impact unless they do something about it

I don't think their current line up has that many weaknesses, especially on weekdays. Sure there's a certain afternoon host who's not too popular.

But the reasons you give for making changes are just childish. Not even worth going over again.

i agree with a fair few of your criticisms and change does need to be made..and the place freshened up!

Beva is my equal favourite host of any show on SEN. Its a pity that he doesnt get a better shift as he has to fill his show with some minor sports as the newsday is over.
