Stating the absolute obvious board. Unless it's talking AFL football Ox is as about as usless as balls on a priest. The man is a complete dunce. At least Francis has a very good knowledge of all sports.

i just watched david beckham on the abc and he kept talking about SOCCER so why do these people on sen keep calling it football.
the worst are leech and boream ,kb is now on the bandwagon as well.

Maybe because he's currently living in America. If Becks was to inadvertently head off to play a game of "football" whilst Stateside he'd most likely leave the venue in traction.

Call it whatever you like - football, footy, soccer, world football. As long as people know what you're referring to, what's the problem?

Brendan Fevola (Aussie Rules), Robin Van Persie (Soccer), Declan Brown (Gaelic), Ronan O'Gara (Rugby Union) and Adam Vinatieri (Gridiron) are all great kicks of the football, whatever shape it happens to take.

I think it's only because he is now in the US. When he first arrived, he was talking about his sport by referring to it as "football" but he got a few groans from the crowd. He then mentioned how he needed to get used to calling it "soccer".

tbh i dont know the exact rules about applying for the draft if delisted. however why would a team use an early pick (which u cant do) on an old player like FG anyway.

fwiw i call it soccer as a soccer player. sen arent the only one who call it football. foxsports do it as well.

Most people refer to Aussie Rules as Footy these days. I refer to Soccer as "Football" when talking to people from outside Australia and use "Footy" for our version of the game.

Mate you know your stuff. Had someone who does a bit of work at SEN comes in to where I work and he said the same thing when I complained that the run home was no good without the ox. Leach obviously feels a bit threatened cause Harf would do his job a lot better.
