iceman you are either BP, his mother, his girlfriend or all three. Mate you are obsessed, the way you go on BP is some legend rather than just an above average radio host. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against BP but he is nothing extraodinary like you make him out to be.

Maybe we could drop in a present just for Phillips and the other overnight hosts.
Wont be much a xmas is they are working for no payment
Target have a xmas tree where you can donate a present to the needy I might donate one to the overnight boys.

But I like to watch the 20 20 on tv I think it is such a quick game that tv does it better than radio ever will.
I think the 50 over version will sound much better on radio and think Sen will do that better this Friday night

It gives them more time to talk and commentate rather than the 20 20 which is like an out of control fast event , much better to watch than to listen to .

I turned the radio off last night.....the way Milney was carrying on was so damned annoying....yells and screams all the time...way to far over the top for mine.....spoils the show IMO......he needs a relaxing pill to calm him down, too hypo...

I heard that show a few weeks ago and thought he was putting on an act just for that one night i listened.
Bit late for me but if he is doing it each week then the joke is already old and out of date.

Haha Peter Marcado is back as a fill-in host, I've heard him on Triple M doing news updates during the footy the past year or two.

Milney's "GBU CREWWWWWWWWWWW" joke is getting old. I think he just wants an hour every week where he can unleash some craziness - without the screams the show isn't much, just naming of old footy players

On Anthony Hudson, he'd be perfect for Morning Glory i think. I know he wants weekdays off due to footy calling all weekend, but he's a class act.

Good sense of humour, good allround knowledge, inoffensive personality.

Schubecki's men were awesome!! Gladiators/gbu/feddish shows were all great!! Without them Sport all night is good but not great as it was before....

Hopefully though after the new year they come back!

However yes Huddo is a great act can do anything. He has done very well for himself...starting at 3aw and now commentating on 10 and SEN.

I had to work night shift tonight, for the first time in ages, and I was extremely impressed with the 'B Team' overnights on SEN. I had boycotted the station long ago but one of my workmates had it on and I loved it!

Informative and cluey hosts who were relaxed and funny - it reminded me of the glory days of the Ring of Fire! Good move from SEN giving these guys the night shift, I'll be tuning in alot more in the future.

Didn't catch the names of the hosts, think John and Ross? Anyway, awesome show!

You are right about the inoffensive personality but then most boring people are pretty inoffensive. Think Huddo would be terrible at breakfast, he'd need a couple of really strong personalities with him to make it interesting. Huddo would be good for just hosting/playing the straight man but then any announcer can do that. Huddo's sporting knowledege isn't all that it could be either, he knows footy and cricket but struggles with most other sports as most of the hosts do.

They do need to shake up breakfast, lots of people I know who listen to SEN for most of the day, don't listen to breakfast anymore cause its just so banal and predictable. Their breakfast team is costing them a pretty penny too, you'd think brownless and watson wouldn't bother getting up at the crack of dawn for anything less than $200,000 each..

Wonder why they cant get the rights to do all of the cricket, I mean its only the ABC so you would think that leaves the cricket open to another radio station to do.
Like the football you would think that a non ABC slash commercial station could do the cricket as well.
Why is it different to the football anyone know ?
If 3aw dont do the cricket then that would be the only one i could think of , so if they dont want to then Sen should be able to do it as well as the ABC ??

Gee I shudder to think of the renumeration package of a B team for the Sen overnight show.
If Phillips and the A teams are having to fend for themselves without a dime from Sen then B team must be paying Sen for the joy of hearing their voice .

James Willogby and Ross Payne are the hosts of that show. Goes really well - Payne is a newsy type guy who is real passionate about the Roos and Willogby is a very smooth and funny host - he even got a plug from Andy Maher on the Morning Glory!

I rate this show, hope SEN stick with it.

I guess you can say what you want about The Run Home, but 3AW's Sports Today? That is the most vile program on radio. It is amazingly biased and the hosts know bugger all about sport, especially Derbrain Russell. I can't believe I used to like Gerard. He's a mouthpiece for the AFL if I have ever heard one.

This is from a one-eyed North Melbourne perspective, but during the Gold Coast debate, they were screening their callers by asking all the NM fans whether they were for or against the move, and ended up not putting to air a heap of callers to "keep the show balanced". Then Caroline Wilson comes on and says that from listening to the show, it seems the fans are spilt on this one.

Not to mention I heard Gerard declare the other day that the AFL had always aimed for a Gold Coast team by 2010. I emailed him the next day with a heap of articles from as early as 6 months ago quoting Demetriou stating they wanted a team up there by 2015.

Did anyone else listen to the amateur 4 hour show Mark Doran did today? His show was at the Madden awards and they didn't allow for the video footage or anything. Frankly it was lazy journalism and SEN should have done it better.

BTW I heard the overnight show last night with Mather and James Willoughby - that guy is an absolute gun and needs to be given more work. A very professional presenter, and has a great knowledge and passion of all sports - he spoke like he knew about NBA, NBL, A League, EPL. Compared to most presenters on SEN who can talk only about AFL and cricket, that is something.

James Willoughby is impressive [pity he follows that vile club Leeds] wide knowledge,Ross is also impressive as is Rob Harding [good to see Rob Back]

Glad you declared your bias there, IMHO 3aw between 6 and 8 is superior to SEN on most nights, not a huge fan of the hosts but its still well done, you don't have to like the host to enjoy the program.

As for 3AW screening calls, well it seems fair enough when a few dozen North fans on forums organise to all call in to the same show...that doesn't exactly give us a good idea of what most North fans think either. 3AW aren't stupid they probably read the same forums and know what is going on.
