I wasn't around. But I always see the first three strip adidas shoes, I think they well called "rome" and they were really white and had three stripes on them. That's what I first remember of th 70's.

After meeting Mr. Ripper last Friday, and watching him trying to kick a football, I think he is the best 70's 'relic'. :D :eek: :p

As Paleface Adios was bred and based in my home town, I had to vote for him. Anyone remember the other two famous pacers from Temora at the same time, Adios Victor and Just Too Good?
 
Has to be Fred Cook, the VFA legend. His legendary 'use of the body' (two hands in the back of his opponent) had to be seen to be believed.

Of course, the Umpire would have been Frankie Virgona.:D
