I doubt lockdowns will be even mentioned. There is no way that we are going to be locked down again. Everyone takes it for granted that we have been there and done that and won't be returning to them within the foreseeable future. Only dictatorial China still preserves a lockdown mentality. A democratic country would not dare implement them.
Dan closer to China than a democracy

I agree at the Moment there be no Lockdowns but we don't know how Covid will Evolve.

People are dying from covid but do you hear anyone suggesting another lockdown? If you want to save lives then what about now? Covid is winding now and we are coming to the end of winter. Lockdowns will not be happening.

Science wins…… again.
F**k with nature and kill and eat anything that moves, creating a virus that brings the world to its knees. Then just when economies are getting back on their feet, stage a bunch of lockdowns over a couple of covid cases, crippling many industries and causing world wide shortages. Beat to death the pets of citizens forced into quarantine and send infected children to special centres.

Meanwhile, economically infiltrate as many vulnerable countries as possible to enhance the spread of military and political interests, and play war games with Taiwan to let the world know that this is a country that isn't going to take s**t from anybody.

You have to hand it to mainland China. Along with Russia, it sure knows how to make its presence felt in an increasingly fragile world.

A succinct account of the contempt with which those regimes treat others and the destruction they seek to inflict on the supine West

PS - Ukraine courageous not supine

Let’s hope the money sucking retailers lose.
Taxpayers money can be spent in better ways than this.
It was pretty incompetently implemented and the collective amnesia of Andrews and his cronies at the inquiry left many questions answered. The government left themselves vulnerable to this kind of action.

More nuanced than that.

Retail is highly competitive.

There's plenty of small retailers who suffered major losses. Retailers pay taxes some of which goes to Feds, some to Andrews govt.
The Andrews govt ain't exactly world beaters when it comes to spending money judiciously for the best outcome.

With Prices of everything going up since the Covid Lockdowns have Ended we might have a new pandemic and that be a Homless Pandemic one as espically people who Rent or have a Mortgage do not have enough money to pay for it.

Also be no such thing as Retirement as Pensions give nothing close to enough money to live on now

I’m hoping that with a Labor government, we may see some movement in the old age pension.
Like it or not, one of the basic principles of the Liberal party is “survival of the fittest”. While not to the extremes of the US Republican Party, it’s a brake on all things social safety net.

As Super or Anything.

IF you sell or make money from that Assest then they should be looked at then
Super basically determined by the share market - fluctuates in short term - rises in long term - capitalism is a wondrous thing
