This forum has a real great track record of demeaning women.. and they say their is a cultural problem in Australia.
She didn't cop it because she was female. She copped it for being utterly useless. Ditto Joan Kirner and Carmen Lawrence.

I agree with you in Hillary.
Gillard was introducing policy ahead of her time and was targeted for her socialist policies.
Had she had a penis she wouldn't of been as easy target as she was
It's intriguing though. Political science shows that women tend to back other women against men regardless who is right
Gillard has shown to be right with where this country was going under her. Yet many women not only said nothing to the attacks but voted for those who played her gender against her to protect rich white men and Gina Reinhardt

Some women don't like other women using their gender as a point of difference.
It's not something you either chose or worked for, it just is. Unearned and ultimately inconsequential things like skin colour and gender are very cheap things to be reduced down to, as though your support for someone will be warranted based purely on one or both of those things you didn't choose and haven't worked for.
Anyone who values themselves as a person first and foremost can see what it is, cheap politics. Trying to make obvious differences so policy isn't important.

There is a reason she got the ALP primary vote under 30%. Utterly useless and staggeringly incompetent. Promoted way beyond her ability. After the trainwreck of Medicare Gold she should have sacked from cabinet.

Nothing like a bit of over representation... SA appointed their FIRST EVER female minister to cabinet earlier this year. Fair dinkum if you're going to try and point out the under representation in the LNP there are literally thousands of better examples than Saudi Arabia.
FFS - You'd expect better from an AAP journo.
