below is the way i believe we should line up for the remainder of the year. it has became quite obvious that our older players lack the ability to help lead a team to victory. also that they are not of the proper substance to show these young kids how it should b done.
solution? take the team of the experience players. play them off the bench, and in supporting roles around the ground...if they are lucky.
the others can be sent to coburg - and be required to wait for a player to be injured, or have a month of sensational football before even being remotely considered for seniors
b: McGuane Thursfield Raines
Hb: Bowden Polak King
c: Deledio Foley Newman
Hf: Jackson Richo Pettifer
F: Hughes Schulz Meyer
Foll: Pattison Polo Tambling
Int: Johnson Tuck Edwards White
Emr: Reiwoldt Krak Moore Hyde
i'd be happy with the above side being played for the remainder of the season.
it means by the beginning of next season, with simmonds, brown and cogs to return plus a near certain number one selection also, we can expect 4 quality players to be added to that side (and hopefully one more through trade or PSD ) - plus hopefully the emergence of reiwoldt & Jon. so basically a turnover of 7 players in the senior squad over the one season.
time to put them all under the boiler. see who burns and sinks, and who rises to the top.
that means that by next season, we should be looking at a side like this
b: McGuane Thursfield Raines
Hb: J.Bowden Polak Newman
c: Deledio Foley Polo
Hf: Cogs Richo Pettifer
F: Hughes Sculz Brown
Foll: Simmonds Johnson Tambling
Int: Edwards Jackson 1st Draft. Pattison
Emr: Meesen (psd hopefully) tuck, Meyer, Jon, Reiwoldt
with all those fella's as emergeces - breaking through for about 10-15 games also, and perhaps replacing richo, johnson, and j.bowden by seasons end. or atleast having j.bowden being able to escape the backline, and go forward or on a wing.
explanations: - i have played cog iN the forward line cos i doubt he will be able to play middle - legs wont hold upo, play him as a matty robbins type, muscle man forward - rotate him in the middle very sparsely.
i have also moved johnson back in the middle because i think he will come good - this season does not represent him and i don't think he will not improve. he will be a bonus next season, because he will improve - perhaps take the captaincy off of him.
thoughts?

Well, roll with it I say......though I've given up on Schulz. He's disinterested or not good enough...probably the former!
