He has had grey hair for years, he used to use brown hair dye to cover it up when he played for Australia.

I guess he thought if he had grey hair the selectors would think he's older than he is and not pick him.

Just look at Bollinger, when he was bald the Australian selectors didn't want to know about him. Then he gets the rug and all of a sudden he's in the Australian team.
